Hi Somya
My son goes to TSK so i can give you some feedback based on my personal experience - 1. Kids are treated fairly and equally....you will see mix of students....nearly 60% are arabic kids from kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan say 10-15% from India and 10-20% from West (US/UK/Europe) and others
Staff is well trained, main teaching staff is British....they are used to encourage inclusive teaching methods with games and activities. I see no racism there....
2. If you are talking about TSK - your child must be little i.e. 4-6 years old.....Why are you already thinking about engineering? Why you think TSK/BSK students cannot go into engineering schools in India?
3. School is good, lots of activities for kids....well set-up and supportive system... I suggest you also consider TES (the english school) in Salmiya....

Guys relax, she's just concerned about whether her child can get admission in India if the child follows this curriculum. It should be sorted out now itself, so that there shouldn't be any misunderstandings and problems later on. The Earlier the better. On a related note, I'm thinking of getting my wife pregnant soon, where should I put my child for IIT-JEE training so that he/she is admitted to IIT?

@Somya,
Sorry if my comment hurt you. don't want to say more as it will end in fight. but let me share this poem by Kahlil Gibran. Please read and ponder over it. Thanks. God bless you and your daughter :)
On Children Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

@shams- I know i was a bit stupid for the second part of my first comment, but it was purely for the laughs and giggles. But on a more serious note, somya's concern is genuine. Trust me, that would be my first question if I were to ever consider admitting my kids in a non-cbse school, let alone a school that follows a western syllabus. If the kids will be taught well enough to be able to cope up with the mind-numbing nonsense that is taught in colleges in India (which is basically just mugging up stuff).
@Somya- To answer your question, CBSE, like the rest of the education system in India relies solely on the child's ability to mug up stuff. If the child learns to mug up things at a young age, he gets accustomed to it. The western education doesn't believe in rote memory, but focuses more on the practical aspects of the job. If your child studies in the BSK/TSK or anything but Indian board, he/she might find it difficult to cope up with the mugging up concept in colleges in India and may have a hard time. If the child goes abroad, he will definitely shine.
Take it from me, the indian education system is seriously flawed and needs some serious makeover. Until then, my kids will not be following the system. And until I get kids, I'm going to start saving up so I can afford to get them education in bsk.

I think your query (and worry) about engineering is naive. One thing for sure - your child studying in TES/BSK will not have loads of homework...may not be extremely sharp on subjects like science/maths early on in his life....but you would see good level of overall development, opportunities for extra-curricular, language skills etc...all these things count as you grow up in this incredibly globalised world...
She may also face difficulty adjusting into Indian schools later just because of the pressure/homework etc....but with extra support and will - that can be achieved too when the time comes....you just need to be aware of it..
Its a bit silly to think that British schooled kids can't be a good fit in engineering... and we need to stop thinking that engineering is only way to be successful (financially) in the life....
By the way - there is absolutely no such criterion from any indian engineering institution that applicants shouldn't be schooled under british curriculum.....One clears the entrance exam and get into the institution based on the ranking....simple as that...
Dont worry about it....
These british curriculum schools are extremely good....if you can afford it...go for it....

Hi Somya, Just a quick question -- not seeking a response -- rather to make you think !
If u r planning on sending her to TSK / BSK -- why limit her options to engineering (or for that matter any college level education to facilities) in India only ? Maybe UK / USA / Canada ?? Or r u a "Make In India" fan ;) !!
@Shams -- that is an excellent poem u hv quoted and very very contextual.

@AAAAAAA I clearly wrote in my post that..i don't want to block this option for her. Sending to UK / USA / Canada is a good option. But i dont know the situation whether i will able to afford it or not.We can not rely on our jobs.Hire and fire is very easy for private firms.
