Some really good news from Gujarat elections

posted by Laxminarayan Gopal on Wednesday, December 20, 2017

I see that the ruling party supporters are having a field day. You can see their happiness bursting out in all their posts because the BJP won in Gujarat.

Well what is good news to them is bad news for us who believe in secularism, transparency and welfare of the aam aadmi but every cloud does have a silver lining.

The silver lining in the Gujarat elections is that the BJP lost in Mr Modi's hometown. The Unjha assembly constituency in Mehsana district, which includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hometown Vadnagar, was won by the Congress defeating the BJP nominee by 19000 votes.

So the "son of the soil" was rejected by the people of his own hometown.

This is the best news I have heard for a very long time. What Unjha did today let the rest of India tomorrow!
