Yes very good news indeed Laxminarayanji,
But the rest of India does not try to think what Feku's own constituency thought. They are in just awe of this 3rd rated person.
19 states is what BJP is ruling today. every single day what i wonder is have people gone nuts ??

@ Indian - Analysis of your Hindutva government.
No black money recovered, no 2g scam convictions, ganga still unclean, vadra still free. You joker's voted just to link adhaar to sim card.
My only issue with UPA, STOP MINORITY APPEASEMENT treat everyone equal, and they are perfect.

Hindutvanji (won't dignify you by labelling you Indian)
Stop targeting my name just because I happen to dislike the present Government in India. Can you tell me one REAL significant achievement of your Great Leader? Something that helped India as a whole not the Ambani/Adani/Jindal etc cabal.....

If a person has fever, a doctor has to identify the causes of fever. Fever is just a symptom. A person has fever when his white blood cells are fighting off infection....now there are different types of infection and the treatment for each is different though anitbiotics address most of the infections.
(With no offense to the ruling party supporters) Likewise......BJP winning is a symptom.......what are the causes of it's winning? BJP's voter base today has increased which is quite evident from it's 38-39% vote share (with negligible presence in south). It's voter base consists of
Voter base 1. Bhakts/core voters (communally biased people, people who believe their faith is looked down upon and people against minority appeasement)
Voter base 2. Development oriented people who TRULY believe BJP is the only way out for the country to progress. (Educated, knowledgeable, frustrated at the lack of progress in the country - termed "intellectuals")
Voter base 3. People who are fed up of UPA and it's scams. (All kinds of people. Middle class in particular)
Voter base 4. Anti incumbency......People who think Congress has had enough chances...it's high time somebody else gets the chance. (All kinds of people....middle class in particular). Mostly group 3 & group 4 overlap.
Except A PART of core voter base 1, the rest are all equally secular as any other secular who supports Congress.........believe me! So addressing them as bhakts too is not only folly but also plain stupidity. Congress, it's allies and it's supporters are only doing harm by terming all ruling party supporters as bhakts.
The day Congress wakes up to this reality and gains confidence of voter groups 2,3&4 they will win ALL elections hands down. Until then these are hay days for BJP!

Let's look at the core voter base of Congress:
Core voter base 1: Community which votes enmasse (with due respect and no offense)
Core voter base 2: Community which votes based on Vatican origins of Congress presidency (again with due respect and offense)
Core voter base 3: (So called) liberals who consider BJP will ruin the secular fabric of the country.
(Not core) Voter base 4: These are the same voter group as voter group 2 of BJP. (Intellectuals)
Core Voter base 5: People who associate congress with freedom struggle and Gandhi Family (Lower middle class and illiterates)
Now Rahul Gandhi fulfills the criteria of only voter base 5. So, Congress would do good, if they rethink about their leadership.

Contrary to what the topic creator says and want others to believe, Congress lost and has everything to lose going further.
1. Rahul's elevation to presidency has had no impact whatsoever. 2. Congress couldn't cross the finish line despite support of Hardik, Alpesh and Jignesh. Hardik's impact was limited though, as majority of patidar seats are still with BJP (28/52) while Congress bagged 23, thanks to Hardik (it had 14 earlier). 3. Congress couldn't even cash in on anti incumbency. Gujarat is now 2nd after West Bengal in terms of continuous rule by a party. 4. BJP scraped through in some of the states with very slender margin, so did Congress in some of the constituencies, thanks to NOTA, else BJP would have snatched these too (in about 10-15 constituencies), so it's tally would have well been 110+, same as it's past tally.
Summary: There's nothing in this election for Congress to take home. It has only got Hardik impacted seats + NOTA dented constituencies of BJP. The people who selected NOTA can be guessed as disappointed patidars, traders and people unhappy with the BJP's candidate(s).
If winning an election with less no. of MLAs is not a victory then is it the same in cricket when the winning team loses more wickets than the losing team? A victory though is a victory after all.
P.S: NDA today is ruling 19 states of India compared to 18 by Congress under Mrs Indira Gandhi during her glory, so that's 1 more. 1 up! anyone?
Congress pull up ur socks!

I am not calling all BJP supporters 'bhakts'. I reserve the terms for those fanatics who support everything the BJP Government does, refuse to recognize the economic damage that some of the decisions of the Government have caused and fail to see that autocracy i.e. rule by one man (or in this case a two-man coterie) who operates on his whims and fancies can be harmful to the nation.
What I see in this forum is people of the bhakt type. I am yet to see someone say: "The BJP has made mistakes but right now there is no real alternative. If the party takes collective decisions based on consensus and input of subject-matter experts, stays away from communalism and actually does real work for the common man instead of just mouthing the phrase "sab ka vikas", then it would be the best Government for India."
Do you see anyone talking like that on this forum? And that is why I use the word "bhakts" to describe the guys who support the BJP here.

Now let us look at some of the other arguments of the bhakt who is posting using a fancy name but whose views smell of bias and prejudice.
"BJP is ruling 19 states compared to Congress under Indira."
So? Why not go back a few further years when Congress under Nehru was ruling all states in India except Kerala which it lost in the 1950s to the Communists?
"Rahul's elevation to presidency has had no impact whatsoever."
Really Mr or Mrs Bhakt?
I beg to disagree. There are also many others who disagree. A recent article in the ET (https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/markets/stocks/news/full-marks-to-rahul-gandhi-for-gujarat-show-but-he-has-a-wall-to-climb-analysts/articleshow/62119147.cms) says it objectively. Here is a quote from that article: " Prime Minister Narendra Modi may have managed a face-saving victory in the Gujarat election, but Dalal Street has sat up and taken note of the fact that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is finally getting counted among India’s electorate. The Gandhi scion, who got elevated as the president of the opposition party over the weekend, made a valiant bid to dethrone the saffron party in the PM’s home state. And going by the final seat and vote share numbers, analysts are convinced the junior Gandhi is beginning to make a mark."
Does THAT sound as if Rahul Gandhi has made no impact whatever?
Why did the BJP Government desert Delhi en masse to campaign in Gujarat if Rahul is a zero? Why did our honourable Prime Minister shed tears at election campaign speeches, beg for votes because he is a 'son of the soil' (as if any non Gujarati in Gujarat is an alien visitor), play the communal card and cry that he is a victim of the so-called Congress Pakistan conspiracy if the Congress challenge left him totally cool and calm?
Bhakts, please accept the facts. Your wonderful party and its great leader just managed to scrape through the Gujarat elections. They won more seats than the Congress but narrowly. From their 116 seat tally in 2012 this time they won just 99 this time. You may keep saying the BJP won but we, the objective non-bhakts and the rest of the non-bhakt world, can see how it won!
