All depends on what u r up to and why are your priorities. Being said so, advantages and disadvantages from my perspective is as below: Advantages in comparison to Kuwait are- 1. Good and free high school education for your kids 2. You live to work here but there u work to live 3. Your travel documents are not sponsored and you can work legally on a P.R. 4. Better social life. 5. Good retirement life and pensions 6. Equal legal rights and status 7. You can own assets like houses, business and of your liking 8. Freedom speech and religion. Disadvantages are- 1. Highly competitive for an unskilled personals 2. English skill are often overrated than required which will eventually disqualify highly accustomed individuals. 3. Climate. 4. Kids tend to grow in a western culture which are not acceptable to our standards, at least to my cultural standards. 5. Taxations 6. 1 dollar pays you much lesser standard than what u probably get here. In order to fetch the right standards you may have to pay at least 50% more than u pay here. 7. Larger geography often makes it tough if u and ur spouse works at 2 different cities. 8. Longer travel time to India and highly expensive flights. 9. Evaluation of ur educational credentials may not always get you the right dignity. You may have to still acquire and Canadian skilled course to fetch reasonable job. 3. You must be prepared to do blue collar jobs at least for 1 to 2 years of arrival until u get a job of ur profession in most cases. To me it was unacceptable and often was a question of self esteem. I felt Kuwait and India offers much more to us than the Canadian dream in reality. These are my thoughts.!!

The only advantage I see is that there is no racial discrimination in Canada unlike in Kuwait where Arabs are given very high salary for doing no work while the Indian works harder and get peanuts.
