TATA wants to buy this airlines before, but Naresh Goyal (CEO) don''t like to sell it due to his dignity & fear of loosing control on his own ship. Finally board members force him to sell his shares & step down from company. Government can only keep eye on aviation issue, but regarding finance issues : company top management, investor & bankers have to analyze the loop points. Hopefully Jet partner Ethihad can buy this company or TATA can rethink to buy by with conditions. They had 8000 cr loan & they required 400 cr immediate effect to keep this airline active. Who will give 400 cr for 8000 cr loan Airlines. Let Ambani or Adani figure out the solution.

If PAN AM could fail, any airline can. Indian aviation will never be the same again, Jet airways was indeed one of the finest airlines I have flown. It could compete with any premium airline globally. (P.S. I still hate BOM hub, but loved the airline)

No govt has helped the common man or small business or farmer. Then how to help big companies?

East west airlines collapse & Jet raise were related. Many East wet airlines employees worked on behalf of Jet and caused trouble to own employer. Later those people joined Jet.

Maybe you haven''t travelled by Kingfisher which was a truly world class airline, but govt didnt bail it out, why should Jet airways be treated any different?
Do you realize that even if the government would help these airlines, it would be by spending our tax money. This isn''t a socialist country to give handouts to ailing companies.
