R u from which part of India? In south, there are many resorts in Coorg. You can search depend on your budget and book for 3 night and 4 days
If you share your budget for 4 days, I can suggest some places in Coorg.

@Raj I am from Kerala. For a resort / home stay / hotel , my budget will be 5k to 6k. This is excluding the travel and all other cost.
@Ubais Mansoon is the problem. i don''t want to be in Kerala during that part of the season (as in holiday / spending a relaxing time with family).
I have no clue about the climate in Coorg during that part of the month.

5K for 4 days is too less.
You can search in Google for Coorg resorts and will get an idea about teh price range. select a good one suiting your budget according to teh review. Please check the latest reviews in tripadvisor.com as some are just name sake resorts only.
You may get a hotel in this budget. But in hotel you and your family cannot spend the whole day. You need to go out to various places for sight seeing by yourself. There are many places in and around Coorg and Kushal Nagar.
If you select a resort with full options like swimming pool etc, you can spend the whole day and night inside the resort only and relax and enjoy. (ofcource cost will be on a higher side)

If you ask such question, you will get 100s of replies as all will suggest you several places which might have been visited by them. You will be now confused as it is very difficult to make a choice from several places.
Just avoid monsoon and head to the North India. Choose any destination. All are good places. You will see some thing new far away from southern part.

Dear, of your choices mentioned avoid Ooty, Kodaikanal and Kovalam. Ooty and Kodai are great places but heavily commercialized so its won''t be a real quiet and calm holiday with your family. I am from Trivandrum so can definitely suggest not to try Kovalam. Beach is good but that''s the only attraction which you can enjoy max. in a day or 2. And again its not a quiet area.
