Urgent Advice

Dear Friends,
I am working in Food Co. as a Storekeeper for the past five years. They have selected me to the post of a cost controller in the same company. My main job will be to check & correct the costing of recipes etc. Please advice on concept of Cost Control,etc .Anybody with experience in this field pls. help.
