Actually Kuwait is saying the same that you posted in advance and there is nothing that one can do...and it is not just Abbassiya but everywhere. Take it....bear it...and wait..maybe they will get tired..
But it has achieved one thing..less traffic on the roads and smoother traffic even inside Abbassiya. I think everyone had complaints regarding this?
Since you already said the F word, you don't have to repeat.. :)

Its a foolish decision. In Dubai the municipality don't give permit for the building with out underground parking. Here all building undergrounds are using for other purpose. They should take such an action. Underground should be parking place. Or allow to parallel park in the road after 7 pm till 6 am. European countries follows such rules as there is no underground parking. I have noticed that the cars which are parked parallel they removed the number plates. The cars parked vertically they didn't remove it.

Buildg owner should provide parking facility. In abbassya, but they are playing big game.Peoples are leaving still they are not reducing rent because they took decision not to reduce.what we can do for this? my suggestion is 1)make one meeting of each buldg representing people 2)take help from all association 3) Discuss the matter and give complaint to embassy and the concerned person in Kuwait ministry. The low is good, not to park in road, but why people parking in road.lack of parking facility.Discuss the matter of key money, safety, rent based on sq feet,Drainage problem etc.

Its really a prob - The law makers should use some sense when drafting laws, i mean come on no expats in departure section @ the airport, what a freaking law is that? -Every building owner should make sure that if there are 30 flats there should be 30 parking locations or spaces in the building. -People with 2 cars should make sure tat they park only one car in the building. -How can you park your car in a far by location and walk till your home when its not at all safe to walk at times , especially at late night and early morning. -The cops dont provide the security but they are ready to make laws making sure that it affects the expats. - The cops dont have any complaints against the building owners who have not provided enough space .

Nothing can be done unless you file a legal case against your building owner

It's a good decision by the police department. Nobody can walk through abbassiya in the evening most of thethe cars parked on the road. We need a daily checking on the roads by the traffic force.

Walker , either you must be having your own parking space or you dont drive. most of the cases , its not the fault of these people. There is no parking spaces and its not safe to park in those remote areas. Imagine your child is sick and you have to take it to the hospital at late night and you have to run to those areas to get your car. If an issue doesnt bother you does not mean its not an issue. Your turn will come.

If you don't like it, leave for good. Stop complaining. Parking on road is not allowed. Follow the rules of the country & be a good law abiding citizen.

i advise you if you can send money through trusted havala agents (Hundy) in Kuwait , you will receive the amount at your home with new currency (inr equal to howmuch KD you give here) and you are not required to go and spend your vacation in front of ATM Que

I think what is required or can be done is to find practical ways to avoid hardship as well as to follow rules. I have some points to discuss: 1. Park only at designated places/allowed places even if it is little far. 2. Be in touch with neighbors and at least three four people in the building so that in an emergency like child sickness etc we can get the help of near and dear. 3. Try to walk in group of two or three instead of walking alone after daylights. carry some small weapons for self defense, use only for threatening not for attacking. 4. Report all problems to police and Embassy. highlight inadequate parking spaces issue. 5. Avoid owning a car, if possible to share with another family even if this will be inconvenient, uncomfortable and lead to minor hardships. 6. We have to adapt to the new situation. What to do? Be ready to suffer. After all it is our decision to come here for a living and need to obey the rules even if not fully comprehending.

Parking is a big problem sure but there are no steps to stop the basement renting which is a parking place as shown in the building drawing. When the building was approved by the authority that place is ready for parking but after that, it is giving for other purposes and thus majority traffic in the streets in Abbassiya.Only the solution is to deal this like issues with the concerned authorities via our embassy. There are so many associations for our peoples and they should come forward to participate for the further.I hope it will happen and all is well.....
Wishing Happy new year to all of you....

Good Decision by Police. In Abbassiya common people is not able to walk properly coz of parking on roads. Even i have seen 2 lines parking and there is only sufficient place only for a vehicle to pass thru. Then how the common people can walk.
My suggestion is those who faces problem in parking spaces should vacate their flats and find buildings who are ready to provide parking. Let the crowd come down in Abbassiya.

In Abbasiya walking is a big issue. The cars are parked all footpaths. Suppose police has to remove that also.

Hi
Unless these 4-5 indian schools are not relocated from , abbasiya will be getting bad to worst. Just wait, once the residency charge increased , area will be empty considerably.
