Better to live as poor in India
posted by poor NRI on Sunday, February 5, 2017
After Modi's demonetization, restrictions on withdrawals, proposed taxes, maximum cash transaction limit 3 lakhs, tax on NRI (rumor) etc etc, I opt to live as poor person in India who earns below INR 24000.
Most of the poor/medium income people are happy with Modi's move but same time mocking at moderate/high income people.
and online payments at local shops in India, no idea what will be the effect.
If NRI has to pay tax then you guys imagine and reply

1. What is the need for more than 24,000 X 4 = Rs.98,000 per month? I did a 10 day Rajasthan trip using only Rs. 20,000. I used my debit and credit cards where ever I can. 2. Where do you need cash more than 3 Lakhs? when almost all shops using dealing with high cost items accepts either debit cards / credit cards/ online tranfer. 3. What is wrong in using digital mode of money? In Kuwait we all use K-net or other debit cards or credit cards. All NRE accounts comes with debit cards automatically. If most of poor and middle income group people or happy with Modi, that is good for him. They are core of our population.
