One man's misery (sending family back) is another man's joy (rent reduction). I read sometime back on FB when u post an unfortunate news, 80?dont care, 15? are happy and only 5? feel something. Maybe rent will not go up, don't expect it to go down.

Dear Amit Thomas,
Yes now that the rent is increased and diesel and petrol fees is increased and medical fees is also increased and soon the electric and wter prices also will be implemented to be paid by tenants You see thousands will flee this country.
Because India is much safer, cleaner, and cheapest place to stay which can be competed with even Europe and American standards. And after I have come to power India is Ranked the best in the world.
Almost 90% of Kuwait will be vacant with advertisements everywhere saying 3 bedroom luxurious Flats with swimming pool and Jacuzzi for only KD 150.
On your way from office you will notice all the flats are vacant and board is everywhere flat for rent.
Hope this much will give you some dreams for a day and for some other people looking for some masala.

Now I am paying 75% of my salary for rent. Thats why I asked..Its very difficult to save some bucks..My flat rent is 225. If rent reduced to atleast 150, I can save something.

Amit Thomas,
Your assessment is absolutely right. Since 2014 you can see the trend of Skilled Professionals relocating from Kuwait to Home country or elsewhere. Unskilled and incompetent people stay back here after sending the family. As a result you can find "Flat for rent" board hanging in every street.
Official records of real estate union stated that over 1 LAKH apartments are vacant across Kuwait.

Abnormal hype has gone. Now you are not forced to rent flat with shit furniture with showroom price. People who bought flat for 500+, 1000+ dinar are now sad as they don't get back their money. Very old flats just two floor ones also now hanging "flat for rent" board. Expecting one month free rent in a year, same like 15 years ago.

What Jolly said is correct.Rent reduced in almost flats 2 months before. In my flat, rent reduced 30KD in last 2 months( 20 in Sep and 10 in Oct). Means many of expats sent back their family to home and staying in Camp/Mess/or sharing etc. Good lesson for greedy flat owners.
Mr.Amit Thomas, if ur rent not reduced, change to new one. 225 KWD u r paying for 2BHK or 1BHK?? About savings, everyone facing same problem.. Dont worry...things will change.... Best of Luck.
