@safar ali kunnath, This is ridiculous, how can they say that they don't respect the rules of a country like India? India governmnet has authorized it's Embassy to issue such documents, which is a valid document accepeted all over the world including US. Tell them to give a copy of the decree stating that they don't accept Afidavit issued by Embassy. I think it's high time to bring it to the attention of Sushma Swaraj ji about the discrimination we are facing. I strongly advise you to post this grievance in her Twitter page. Believe me she will respond quickly.

We cannot blame anybody for not accepting an affidavit attested by Indian Embassy. Because Indian Embassy put a stamp on each affidavit that "attested without responsibility on the authenticity of this affidavit" (or some words similar) which means that "we have collected the money and issued this affidavit but we cannot guarantee the authenticity of it"

if there already mention on Indian embassy Paper that " THE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA CERTIFIES THAT THE ABOVE PARTICULARS ARE TRUE""
then why they are asking all documents like Birth & Marriage Certificate? and from where we can get this SHADA MAL UMM ( they said to me " this is your mother why believe , bring Mother certificate " ) .
actually, they want to reduce visit visa. why are they wasting there time? better announce publicly that there is no anymore any visit visa for Foreigners ( especially from Asia)

@ Ali;
This happen to me 4 years back; i went to apply for MIL visit they asked me to go the Mudeer. i went he saw the application and said no. i asked the reason he simple said go out. the bengali next to him told me in hindi "jao bhai uska mood acha ni aaj". I came back that day.
I went after two days with new application, they took and told me to come after two day. when i went after two days the application was rejected again..
That time i read in the IIK, some one tried 4th time and he got it, i did the same without loosing hope i went again the next day itself and the counter lady wrote some thing in the application and told to meet Mudeer and i was... then thought what I have to lose. went to the Mudeer,, he took the application verified all papers and signed on it and returned i came out and showed to the officer outside and he said submit to the same lady at the counter... GOT THE VISA.
So the moral is do not loose your hope and if you meet the criteria of the visit visa.
All the best.

My experience:
I went to get parent's visit visa. Got rejected due to some paper was missing. Next day, with new application and same set of documents, I went again. GOT THE VISA.
do the same guys, go again and again till you get the visa.
Good luck

Dear friends,
What's is stated above is true as to try multiple times as long as you have time + energy and also those people are not kicking you out!
But the problem described above is different I think. How to get the affidavit attested by MOFA without which getting visa is impossible.
Regards

@ S. N. : for your query,
If MOFA not attesting, then we have to ask our embassy what is the solution....
Meantime i believe that if the visa is for parents, then translation of BC of the applicant will serve the purpose.... hope you understand what i mean by this..
All the best.

well somehow i got the Visa but from back door.....
but now new rules came ... there is no need any paper from Indian embassy. ( relation affidavit) go directly To MOFA with a Birth certificate and marriage certificate. they will stamp on back side , that's it.

Dear Ali Can you provide more information on the birth certificate and marriage certificate? You have shown the original birth certificate or you got it translated and stamped from ministry of Justice? Concerning the marriage certificate, whose certificate are you referring too?
