This is from Khaleej Times
Passengers arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport can get tourist visas within 15 to 30 minutes, authorities have announced.
A new visa counter has been launched at the airport to facilitate the visa application process for both transit and arriving passengers to the UAE capital.
The new service, located at the Terminal 3 transit area at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), includes activation of the new four-day, or 96-hour, transit visa for ALL NATIONALITIES travelling through Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The Dh300 visa can be used by passengers with planned trips from Abu Dhabi, or with intermediate flights through Abu Dhabi en route to their destination if their layover exceeds four hours. The transit visa can be applied for both at the new visa counter on arrival, or through the online designated portal, provided passengers meet the application criteria. Travellers can also request to change their transit visa to a tourist visa at the airport if they are planning to extend their stay in the capital.

@ Joju Thomas. aaa aaa is asking abt Dubai visa and you are giving him another story.
@ aaa aaa. I also read it in UAE website but what I understand that Indian PP holder having valid visa can get visa on arrival at Dubai provided if they are travelling from US to Dubai. It implies that one can not travel to Dubai from any other place on the earth even if he/she has US visa.
On a further note, I have US visa and am travelling to Dubai next week. As a safety precaution, I have got UAE visa but will try to enter Dubai based on US visa. If not possible by US visa then I will produce UAE visa.
I shall update you after I return back to Kuwait.

@ Traveller, please, you also don't provide half-baked information should you are not aware of the story.. I got visa on arrival with my 10-year old US visa by travelling from Kuwait directly to Dubai. That means it need not be travelling from USA to Dubai. On a further note, you have mentioned that you already got UAE visa and will try to enter Dubai with your US visa!. Well, I believe you got visa online by paying around 250 Dirhams (Correct me, if I am wrong!) In that case is it not foolhardy that you may have to spend additional 120 Dirhams at the airport to get another visa on arrival ?? Anyway, please update what happened at the check in and immigration after you come back from UAE. It will be helpful to others.. Bon Voyage

@ JG I really appreciate your concern. Yes I got online visa by paying AED 250. Since I am getting many versions of this fact, I applied online to avoid surprise at Kuwait & Dubai airport. I want to check and ensure that indeed Indian PP holders having US visa get Dubai visa on arrival. There are 2 stages to check.
At Kuwait airport: Inform the check-in counter that I have US visa hence give me boarding pass. If refused then produce online visa and get boarding pass.
At Dubai airport: Produce PP only and show US visa. If granted and asked to pay then good but will not pay AED 120 but produce online visa.
This way to ensure that indeed it is effective.

Yes noted your suggestion. But the point is that you can not go to the immigration counter before buying a 120 Dhs sticker as on-arrival visa fee (this is a sticker which you have to purchase from the counter of an agency by paying cash before going to the immigration desk! means you are not paying anything to the immigration officer!) Therefore in that case, I do suggest you just show your online visa at the immigration counter! But still you can get information from around and share here!

@Traveller, You don't need to provide visa copy at DXB immigration counter, the e-visa is connected to your passport and if you got visa through online then the data will be available in their system,Once you produce your passport at immigration counter, the staff will swipe your passport to check the visa status and will stamp entry on your passport, thats it,they will not issue a new on arrival. Well, you can clear your doubts about the US visa matter at the counter for your future things,,,,

I have the 10 year H1B1 visit visa, but when checked with Emirates, they confirmed this visit visa is not eligible for On Arrival Visa at Dubai. So applied for online visa and completed my travel.

My brother who is residing in India and has US Visit Visa for 10 Years, entered Dubai in October and November 2017, with VOA facility. Both times, he traveled to Sharjah through Air Arabia.

Khalas,I GOT VISA ON ARRIVAL IN DUBAI ON LAST WEDNESDAY WITH MY 10-YEARS US VISIT VISA. I flew through Emirates and there were no issues either at the counter or at the immigration in Dubai. Just paid 120 Dhs as visa fee. Thats all!! SO INDIANS WITH 10 YEAR OLD VISIT VISA OR GREEN CARD SHALL GET VISA ON ARRIVAL IN DUBAI FOR 14 DAYS. PERIOD!!! @ Visitor, when you call these airlines, you have to confirm with the "Visa Section" of the airlines, not just the counter staff. They will not have much information and want to get rid of the caller as soon as possible without taking any risk..

Dear All here is the update of my experience of Dubai visa.
Kuwait to Dubai (02 Dec 2017) Kuwait Airways: Produced my PP but not the e-visa. Counter staff refused to issue boarding pass. Then I informed I have US visa and I am eligible to get VOA at Dubai. Counter staff got confused so he consulted his supervisor who said to him to issue the boarding pass as passenger meets the VOA condition. Boarding pass issued. E-visa still not shown to counter staff.
At Dubai airport: Stood in the immigration queue. When my turn came, produced the PP. Immigration staff informed Indian PP no VOA. The I showed him the US visa page to which he said "YES" you can get VOA now. He directed me to a counter where some European passengers were heading to pay the visa fee. Now this time I showed him the e-visa and I was given 14 days visa. He said I had the liberty to either use VOA option or already issued e-visa. Since I had already paid for e-visa, I used e-visa to get entry to Dubai. Further immigration officer told me in future use VOA facility by paying 120 Dhs as e-visa costs 250 Dhs and not to waste money.
Abu Dhabi to Kuwait: I asked the immigration officer if I can get VOA at Abu Dhabi airport with the same condition to which he said "NO". I informed him that its the same country then how come one airport allows while other airport does not allow. He checked his system on his PC and said "NO VOA for Indian PP holder holding US visa" He said if I want to enter Abu Dhabi then I have to apply for e-visa.
So all is clear now. Indian PP holder having US visa can get Dubai VOA.
