There were good people in the BJP - people like AB Vajpayee and others who went beyond the racial and communal policies dictated by the RSS. Yashwant Sinha belongs to this class.
We should see the good in them and we should support them when they try to change things.

After watching majority of news channels and social media postings, our enemy countries must be very happy as all their work is being done by majority of our social media activist and news channels these days. I thinks it’s high time we should put our differences behind and work as one nation before the situation goes out of hand.

Ever wondered why ancient India was invaded so frequently? because there was no unity among native Indian kings, despite them being brave and well educated. They were all selfish.
Well, history repeats itself, Yashwant Sinha is trying to form an alliance despite ideological differences, just because he is sidelined in the party and government.
Will the current Indian generation/voters learn from history is yet to be seen.

@laxmi narayan, I beg to defer from your comment that vajapeyi went beyond communal politics. If you want I can share his communal speeches spitting venom. I feel we are failing in this point. After Modi came to power, Advani and vajapeyi look liberal for us. Also, after Yogi became CM of UP, some started feeling Modi is liberal.

You said: "Yashwant Sinha is trying to form an alliance despite ideological differences, just because he is sidelined in the party and government."
That is YOUR conclusion. It is in line with the snide and shocking comment of Arun Jaitley that Yashwant Sinha is an old man looking for a job. It is the kind of comment one would expect from a BJP supporter.
In his speeches and interviews Yashwant Sinha has raised valid issues. He is not warring against the Government. He is against the two individuals - Narendra Modi and his boon companion Amit Shah - who have assumed all power and are taking decisions and implementing those decisions completely inimical to the interests of the country. This coterie of two have vested all powers within their own hands.
You BJP people become very sanctimonious when anyone criticizes YOUR Government but when the Congress was ruling Mr Modi was tweeting left and right sarcastic and impolite messages against the then PM Dr Manmohan Singh and the Government itself. At that time BJP supporters never thought about the unity of the country.
When your favorite leader Mr Narendra Modi visited Canada as the Prime Minister of our country, in one of his speeches in Toronto he said, clearly referring to the previous Congress governments, “Jinko gandagi karni thi, woh gandagi kar ke chaley gaye, par hum safai karenge (Those who had to create a mess, they have done so and left. We will clean it up).” Not one of Modi's predecessors have ever done such things. They scrupulously adhered to the unwritten code of not washing the dirty linen of domestic politics outside India.
But when we non-BJP people post on this Forum against the blunders and wrong policies of the Government some BJP fan says we are spoiling the image of India.
Please get rid of this hypocrisy. Practice the same standards you preach to others.

When the Gujarat riots were on in full swing and Mr Modi as Chief Minister was seen as taking no steps to stem the killings of hundreds or thousands of innocent people belonging to the Muslim community, Vajpayee warned him to remember his Rajdharma. In fact he went so far as to contemplate removing Modi as Chief Minister which could not get done because the rabid elements out-voiced and out-voted him.
Let me tell you that the present rulers are far far worse communally than anything you might attribute to Vajpayee or Yashwant Sinha. It is one thing to harbor communal attitudes but try to do one's job fairly and honestly suppressing those attitudes. It is another thing to flaunt communalism openly and shamelessly as is happening at present and actually brag about how they will help you stay in power.

Lol! Perfect case of "holier than thou".
When Mani Shankar Aiyer said "unko hataane mein tum hamaara saath do"......what was it?

Mohan Bhagawat too might join in......the list is long though....Shatrugan, Advani, Murali manohar joshi......etc. Moreover, Advani has the distinction of calling Jinnah secular anyway.

I am holding my cheers for now. When a certain person returns to running a tea stall and his fellow conspirator is put behind bars on account of a murder case he escaped from through highly questionable means THEN you will hear me cheering but those cheers will only bring TEARS to you.

@ Gopu,
Did a certain person go back to "cleaning tables"? No! Similarly this person too will not go back to "selling tea", even though it's the more respectable job of the two.
Talking about tears, we all know who is crying, whining and ranting day in day out here and clutching at straws with even the slightest of anti government/ruling party news, it's for all of us to see.
Keep cheering and hip hip hurraying @ Gopu the cheerleader.

I see that I must explain to you in simple language what I was trying to say. Your comment that selling tea is more respectable than cleaning tables reveals your casteist mindset which probably comes from the tainted training at the RSS shakas.
I never remarked that selling tea is a demeaning occupation. What I actually meant was that when your tea seller returns to selling tea, he will be doing the nation a big favor because he will probably do a better job there than he has by heading the Government. Actually every job is important but it is equally important that each person does the job he or she is fit for.
Now you were talking about the lady who cleaned tables. Nothing wrong in cleaning tables. But in fact she was a waitress in a restaurant and she took that on as a part time occupation to fund her studies at a London school. Her native language was Italian but she learned English. She even learned Hindi and when she speaks in Hindi she does not look at a script. Your Great Leader looks at a hidden screen and reads the words out when he gives speeches in English. See the difference?
By the way Hindutvan many Indian students who go abroad to study do all kinds of odd jobs to earn some money to finance their educational expenses. They perform waiters' jobs, work as servers in McDonalds and so on. So don't look down upon them. In fact if your Great Leader had done the same he might have acquired a proper graduation degree by now instead of jumping into politics and messing up our economy.
So as I was saying, it would be a great relief for the nation if your leader returned to tea selling. He might build up a big tea chain and become quite rich and you might even get a job in one of his outlets after they send you out of Kuwait. You see I have a lot of faith in your leader and in his capacity to achieve things. My only problem with him is that as a Prime Minister he is unfit and hopeless.
Now don't start venting on the 'Italian lady' ( as you BJP people disrespectfully refer to her although she is a naturalized Indian and has settled in our country for many years). She did not jump into politics like your great leader did. She was actually pulled into it to save the Congress Party. She kept the party together unlike your Great Leader who is tearing our country apart. She could have become Prime Minister but she refrained from doing so. Your Great Leader has many things to learn from her.

By the way Gandi, I am not crying, whining and ranting. In fact I am smiling with optimism and hope. Every post I make about the character of the BJP Government and the kind of people like you who support it is being read by others and there is a growing group that is getting more and more vocal against your beloved Government and its leader.
Back in India too things are looking up for those who dislike the BJP. And what gives me real pleasure is that every post I make pierces that hard Hindutva hide of yours and who could ask for better than that!

Lol. When cornered, down and out, Gopu does a u turn like Kejriwal. People who have been reading your posts know what you meant by "selling tea".
Btw the Italian waitress did not sacrifice the chair, honorable president of India then Mr. Abdul Kalam (may his soul rest in peace) told her she is ineligible for the chair. That's the reason his term was not extended.
Unfortunately it doesn't rain in online forums, for you to hide your tears. You've been wailing since May 2014 my friend, your posts reflect the same. And I am sure you will do it until 2024 (at least).

I wrote exactly what I meant and I meant exactly what I wrote. Your orange colored brains misinterpreted my words. I am not the one who is crying. You are the one who reacts to every post of mine with insults and abuse instead of facts which shows you as the real crybaby.
And your story that Dr Kalam was the one who refused Sonia Gandhi the position of Prime Minister is another Sanghi lie.
Here is the truth:
"Former President A P J Abdul Kalam, who has been criticised by some parties for disclosing that he was willing to invite Sonia Gandhi to be the Prime Minister in 2004, has maintained that the Supreme Court had upheld her citizenship and she was "Constitutionally" eligible."
