Sharing-Traffic violations regisyered in your name even you do not hold of such car

I like to share some serious but true fact. One of my friend was provided a leased car through car leasing co. by his company. As per the new Traffic rules, leasing companies has to register drivers/employee's civil id in traffic deptt. against issued car.
When my friend reaches renewal of residency, ministry told you have to clear traffic fine for crossing red light (KD. 50 plus suspension of license for 3 months plus 5 points). He surprised to know that he returned car to leasing co. 6 months back and still penalties are coming in his name. Red light is serious offence and when he reaches to traffic his license confiscated for 3 months.
Now he is running leasing co. and traffic offices.
Conclusion is, once you return your leased car to your co. be sure co. has also cancelled from traffic record as well, otherwise someone's mistakes will be accounted in your record and it can be a serious consequences incl. deportation or jail.
