Getting back Car License
posted by Query on Monday, February 27, 2017
Dear IIK friends,
I am little worried about an incidence as below:
On 25th. Feb., I was returning home (Mahboula) from Airport through 6th Ring road & just before the Road 30 Exit, I made a minor mistake amidst a heavy traffic jam. Policeman caught my car, took away my license and gave me a mukalifa paper. Now I am in doubt as to how, when and from where shall I get back my license? I could not fully understand the instruction of policeman. What I could gather is that I have to collect the same from Muroor of Mubarak Al Kabeer (or Subhan? not sure) after 5 days (?) and paying the requisite fine ( KD 10/-)
I request this forum users having similar experience to advise me the procedure to get back my license. Can I drive my car now?
Please advise.

I had read long time before on similar case of confiscation of license. If you are lucky you can read that post. At the moment I will advise you to stop driving the car without license, as it will be considered another offense. use taxi/bus to commute until you sort our this issue.

wait for 3 to 4 days untill your traffic violation is updated on the internet. you can check it yourself also. Once it is uploaded on net go to mubarak al kabeer traffic department traffic violation section. pay the fine and collect your driving license.
Untill then avoid driving to face another penalty or trouble.
