POA can be give to anyone you wish to. However person with POA can carryout anything authorized in POA without you knowledge and consent. There are many frauds and misuses happened using POA. That is why you should be extremely careful when giving POA.. Winning legal battles against POA holder is very difficult and lengthy process. That is why, it is advised give POA to persons you can trust, like blood relatives. Even than there is always risk. Instead of giving general POA, it is better to specifically mention what are the actions a POA holder permitted to take.

If we give POA to non-blood relatives we need to pay 10% fees against the property value?
