Bird Watching
Posted on 4/3/2012
Just like everyone I too have hobbies. One of them is bird watching. It is not necessary we have to go to a bird sanctuary for bird watching. I’m so lucky enough to watch the development of a bird’s growth from the stage of the egg. I’m happy to share my experience with you all.

One fine day in the mid of February 2012, I saw 2 pigeons in my window sill busily building a nest. After that, it was so conscious to see for 2 -3 days that the nest was not disturbed by anybody. On February 10th it laid 2 eggs. No matter what the climate was windy, rainy, sunny and dusty or cold the mother bird saw that its egg’s were unharmed.

On 26th February I was so excited to see both the eggs hatched. From that day onwards the weather was very bad but even then I was surprised to see the mother bird protecting it’s younger ones day and night.

As we all know the life span of birds is very short, I also saw that its growth was also very fast. Exactly after 2 weeks of the hatching the birds flew away.

But the mother bird didn’t know its younger ones flew away and sat for one whole night in search of its younger ones. I was broken hearted to see that the mother bird sat for one whole night in search of its younger ones.

I was very happy and excited as it was my first experience to observe the growth of the bird from such a close range.
