Calicut University to launch graduation Courses in Kuwait |

University of Calicut, the university in the southern state of Kerala in India, opens its first affiliated study center in Kuwait. The center will have 3 years full time graduation courses in Business Administration and Commerce – B.Com and B.B.A. Having the full time courses of BBA and B.Com courses in Kuwait will be a great relief for parents especially of girls’. Since the higher education options for expatriates are very limited in Kuwait, most of the parents of children studying at higher secondary schools in Kuwait send their children abroad. The decision for Calicut University to open its affiliate center here in Kuwait will be a good opportunity for the parents.
Established in 1968, Calicut University has emerged the largest University in Kerala with 25 Departments of postgraduate studies and research, under its direct control and 191 affiliated colleges.
The School of Distance Education of Calicut University established in 1981 has emerged as a major distance education provider in India. Annually about 30,000 students enrol for the programs of the School. Currently, the School offers 16 graduate courses, 13 postgraduate courses and two diploma courses. The School has approved 18 educational institutions in different States of India to enrol students for various courses offered by the School. Also, the School has approved overseas centers at Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Bahrain other than the one in Kuwait.
The center will be the first one in Kuwait offering day time classes of any Indian University. The registrations for the new batches are already started. The center employs well experienced and highly qualified teachers and has excellent infrastructure, including classrooms, computer labs, library, etc. Classes for the new academic year will be commencing tentatively by the mid of July. The center will be operating from Center for Computer and Management Studies at Kuwait City.
