Hawally Park

Have you got crazy children making you mad with their tricks? If so, take them to Hawally Park, put them in the sky scraper and feel the pleasure of hearing them braying. I know you want to correct me that ‘braying’ is the term used for ‘donkeys’ not for ‘children’. Yes, you are correct, but I am saying what you are going to listen there and what I’ve been listening from there. I am sure your children will not be an exemption and you yourself will doubt whether we put donkeys or kids in the scraper.

Hawally park, one of the nice spots at Hawally in the Tunis Street, is surrounded by beautiful buildings like Al Muhalhab buildings (Titanic building), Rehab Complex, Beirut Complex and Hawally & Rowda Co-operative Society. When you enter Hawally Tunis Street from the side of Hawally Bridge, after Rehab Complex, Shrimpy will welcome you with its name board. Hawally Park is not only for fun but for shopping also. Some of the well known stores are Jarir bookstore, Shrimpy, Ceasars confectionary and Naif Chicken.

The entrance to this Park is free but we have to pay for using each and every item. Even though we don’t want to leave our kids play in the park, it is worth to just visit this Park and realize the unknown world around us. This Park looks like an old castle and it attracts everyone’s attention. Its design or architectural creativity is well admirable and it would be a loss if we never have been to this Park. Fun palace is a separate area inside the Park and you may find many slots for playing games and winning prizes in this indoor palace. Inside Fun palace, many food corners including Naïf Chicken are located.

Sky scrapers, horse riding, small train, boating for kids, car racing, bike racing, ball play etc; are the nice attractions inside the Park and on an average, ticket for each of these costs less than 1 KD per head. Park seems to be silent in the day time like a graveyard and noisy in the night like a ghost house.

Hawally Park is providing us the opportunity to have fun and shopping together. From the shopping centers, we can buy flowers, birds, rabbits, plants, books, watches, mobiles, other electronic items, food items etc. Sure, you will not regret for the time you spent here. If you have no fun according to your interest, just walk 30 minutes inside the park and relax on any bunch there. You may park your car in the vast parking area specially arranged for this Park. Have a nice trip there and make it memorable forever.

By the way, don’t forget to keep your identity card and a family photo with you, because, your children, after getting out of the sky scraper, may be asking you who you are!!

Hi Nazar :

I dont usually comment on articles unless I feel that innate compulsion to do so. You article has left me in splits. I stay in Hawally so I know exactly what you are talking about... Braying like donkeys?? That was a killer! :) :) :) Bythe way - I agree to your term.

Cheers!
