Come May and actor Aamir Khan promises to make the Sunday mornings more interesting for the television viewers. The actor is all set to make his Television debut with ‘Satyamev Jayate’, a show that speaks about real people and their stories.
However, the latest buzz has it that with Aamir’s debut, other channels are getting insecure and are apparently planning to rope in Salman Khan to counter the TRP run.
Talking to a daily, an insider revealed, “Aamir is a perfectionist, and the way his TV debut is being planned, it is sure to make many production houses and channels re-shuffle their programming line-up. As Aamir’s show is to air on Sunday mornings and simulcast across eight channels and languages, the reach will automatically widen, therefore putting pressure on others. Though the show is yet to be aired and is not in the regular prime time slots, industry experts feel that the thinking man’s actor can really ruffle the TRP game. And now, with one of TV’s favourite hosts backing him, it seems like the other stars surely will have some competition, not just in films, but on the small screen too.”
And, this insecurity led many TV honchos approach Salman for a show, since the actor is hugely popular among the television viewers and can give tough competition to Aamir’s show. However, a source has revealed, that Salman has refused to do any show during the time for the sake of his friendship with Aamir.
