For the first time in the history of Kuwait, Chengannur Chittoor Family members joined for a Family Get-Together in Chachoos auditorium in Abbassiya on Friday 27th April at 8pm. It was a very much awaited occasion for all members.
The program was inaugurated by senior members Mr. Zachariah Thomas(Pappachen), Mr. P.T Mammen (Babu), Mr. Siby Altharamoottil, Mr. Zachariah Mammen(Aniyankunju) and Kochumon Panavelil. Mr. Thomas Kuruvilla gave the welcome speech and Zachariah Thomas presided over the meeting. Mr. Zachariah Thomas was selected as the president and Mr. Thomas Kuruvilla as the Coordinator along with a committee with Zachariah Mammen, Babu Panavelil, Siby Altharamoottil, Mathew A.C Amruthurpadinjarethil, and Anup Cheriyan as members.
Blessen and Bincy flew the audience way back to Chittoor Family History explaining the trace from 1757 up to the 8th generation along with photos from different family annual meetings. There were various entertainment programs by young children Steve, Shawn, Blessan(Jr.) and Alisha and elders represented by Shirley, Blessen & Binsu, Bincy, Sunil Altharamootil and family.
The family meeting took a unanimous decision of holding this Get-together annually atleast in a very spectacular manner possible. And it is expected to hold a larger gathering for this 2012 Christmas /New Year Celebrations.
Program was compered by Shirley and Sunil Thomas and back ground music was scored by Blessen Mammen.
The program came to an end with a photo session and a grand dinner.
