Kuwait squash team qualifies to quarterfinal in Asian championship |

Kuwait squash team on Wednesday has qualified to the quarterfinal of the 16th Asian Squash Championship after defeating its Pakistani counterpart 2-1 to top its Group with three consecutive victories.
The contest came strong from both sides as Pakistani Naser Amthal was able to put his team ahead by beating his Kuwaiti counterpart Salem Al-Fayez 3-0. However, Kuwaiti Abdullah Al-Muzayyen was able to tie the score later on when he defeated Pakistani Farhan Mohammed 3-0.
In the third and final match, Kuwaiti Ammar Al-Tamimi was able to end the contest in favor of Kuwait by a thrilling win over Pakistani Farhan Zaman 2-1.
The quarter final matches will start tomorrow with Kuwait taking on Korea, Hong Kong vs. Pakistan, India vs. Japan, and Malaysia vs. Jordan. Also, matches of determining 9th to 12th ranks will start tomorrow with Singapore vs. China, and Iran vs. Iraq. |
