United Indian School once again lifted the St.Berchman's Trophy Inter School Basketball Tournament in boys and girls category. In the girls final UIS defeated Carmel School by 27 - 16. Rini Sibi was the top scorer of the match with 10 points. Rinnah Reji scored 6 points and Roshni Mathew scored 5 points. Captain Aishwarya and Priya played their role in defense. The other members of the team were Reena, Vanesa, Liya, Lisha, Reshma, Namruta and Amalu.
In the boys final UIS outclassed Carmel School by a score of 76-36. The team was led by Captain Sijo who scored 12 points and Vice Captain Justin, who scored 9 points.UIS budding stars Prince, Emil and Jerin showed some spectacular performance to maintain the lead throughout the match. Prince selected as the best player of the tournament scored 20 points. Emil scored 15 and Jerin contributed with 10 points. Leo and Bibin were superub in their rebound collections and defense. The other members of the team were Vishu, Anand, Sino, Arjun and Amit.
UIS were the champions for the 9th consecutive yearin the Don Bosco Basketball Tournament two months ago. With this victory in the Berchman's Trophy Tournament UIS once again proved as the champion team in Basketball in Kuwait.
