‘FOCUS Kuwait’ Conducted 6th Annual General Body Meeting |

Forum of CAD Users - FOCUS, affiliated local chapter to the International AutoCAD users group (AUGI), USA, conducted the 6th Annual General Body Meeting at Indian Public School Auditorium, Salmiya.
In the AGM chaired by President S. Ratheeshkumar, Advisory Board member Murali S. Nair delivered the welcome address. Salim raj and Shaid Labba presented the condolence and appreciation resolutions addressing a few relevant current issues. Former General Secretary, Malayil Moh’d Iqbal read-out the report on last AGM.
FOCUS General Secretary K.D. Joshy presented the annual working report for the year 2011-’12 and also have presented the proposed action plans for the up-coming working year. Treasurer Moh’d Hashim presented the Financial Report of the concluded working year and Mathew Thomas presented a brief status report on the Member’s Welfare Fund.
Besides of conducting intensive training programmes FOCUS is committed to serve the community socially uplifting and also extending charity measures to the unprivileged sections in Kuwait as well as back in India. FOCUS auditors Kuruvila Cherian and M. N. Salim read-out the Audit Report in the AGM.
Selected representatives from the sixteen units of FOCUS actively involved in the open discussions and AGM unanimously approved all the reports and also the proposed revisions in the FOCUS by-law.
Former Advisory Board Sam Pynumood released a very informative memoir FOCUS Directory-2012, by receiving a copy from FOCUS President Ratheeshkumar in the AGM, and delivered his felicitation speech. Vice President Wilson Philiph, Joint Secretary Ratheesan, Joint Treasurer Simon Baby also had felicitated with their inspiring messages.
The AGM unanimously elected the new office bearers of working year 2012-’13. Presiding officers Kuruvila Cherian and M. N. Salim controlled the electing process. Following are the newly elected Office bearers: Sasi Thompson (President), M. N. Salim (General Secretary), Mathew Thomas (Treasurer), Manoj George (Vice President), Mr. Shahid Lebba (Jt. Secretary), Thomas Poikayil (Jt. Treasurer).
Sugathan, M.T. Joseph, Ratheesan were elected as Advisory Board Members, Sunil George and Anil K. B. as Auditors in addition to the election of Moh’d Hashim, the out going treasurer as Ex-Officio to the new newly formed Executive Committee.
Different co-ordination sub-committees for registration, minutes, volunteer, food and stage actively and collectively functioned for the successful turn around of the GB meeting. A sumptuous dinner also served to all the attendees |
