I was surprised to see my Toyota Corolla's L/S quarter glass broken today morning. There was an attempt to get something valuable or checking for a spare key inside the car.The steering wheel was locked and there was nothing valuable inside the car. So it has to believe that there is a collective attempt to steal corolla cars. Please dont leave any spare keys or valuables inside the car and put atleast one checknut on each wheel and lock the steeing wheel with a good lock. This is the third attempt on my car by breaking the quarter glass.

Not about stealing of the car but Abbasiya has become worst. even for parking the car. My car got 5 strkes of key stripes by some #$!@#!@ last week. The brand new company paint is totally #!@#$#.. What to be done. A 24 hours survallence should be put in all parking & non-parking places!!! I cannot tie my car to my bedroom in any situation!!??

I lost my toyota cressida car few years ago. A case was registered in Abbasiya Police station.
No news so far. However, I bought another car. The funny thing is that wherever I see a toyota car I stop myself and round the car atleast two or three times eventhough the ministry have changed the number plates for all cars.

Many people reading this news thinks that, this issue happened because they stay in Abassiya. But its a serious problem. Today, its Abassiya, tomorrow can be anywhere. They are thief and police have to intensify their investigation and the culprit to be caught...

Hi All Guys don't worry about @EM he don't have car, so he is jealous on others who are having. He is using city bus service from the time he came to Kuwait. So no one going to steal city bus. Hahaa. Just all of us can show pity on @EM. Well Second thing If police refuse to register complaint then where should we contact ? Definitely Our Beloved Embassy... But Our Embassy is paralyzed(have no movement) even in murder cases. So we don't have any option other than the mercy of police man. (We need to beg, touch his feet to register a complaint ?) Nuclear power country, India's citizens in this position ? So saaaad....

Guys!!! Looks like the style of stealing my car has not created news… but still I would like to share so that everyone gets aware and shares with their near and dear ones & friends too…. Early morning I was on my way to work. A place name KADMA, lead by road no 630 from 6th ring road. I was stopped by a Cherokee Jeep blocking the road; a man in his late 20’s sitting inside the car trying to start it and a boy in his early 20’s trying to push it from behind. The road is a one way, steep and on hilly area, hence I had no option of by passing them than stopping. I was called out by the boy for help, but I stayed in. The boy was not able to push the car forward instead it was rolling on to him due to the steep road. He then called out to me again and I felt pity and went to help him. We both nicely rolled the care off on a side and then I hold onto the car to avoid it rolling on to me. The boy moved off to get a stone to put it under the tyres. He moved away and then after sometime I saw him speeding my car off. The movement I could react and run towards my car, the so called dead car also started and speeded away. Just then my colleague came by and we tried to follow them on the 6th ring road, but it was in vain. I dial 112 and call the cops during the chase but they denied from coming. They told to go to the nearby police station and report it. I dial 107 and spoke to Zain customer care to track down my cell and the number. Even they told they can’t help, even to cancel my postpaid line I have to go to the office with my Civil id to cancel the line. Helpless I had to go back to my office and for my Mandoop to come and get a complaint done. With the car I lost my Samsung Note, travel air tickets, my work equipment, petrol card, passes and lot of stuff. The Car is still roaming in Kuwait and has created couples of fines too. Moral of the News: Never get out of the car without the car keys, Never stop to help a unknow person and 112 is just a accident service number.

I too faced the same predicament in abbasiya couple of years back. the cop at the main counter told me to find the jeep and inform them - had to go to the hoops before he left the counter and i went to the main mudir and filed the case. cops did get back the jeep after 2 months from sabah nasser area with lot of empty patex tubes inside.

As a measure of safety, after switching off the car, just turn the steering towards the right until the steering is locked. For unlocking the steering, swithch on the ignition while hold the steering towards the right. Pls make it a practice.
