The Indian Dental Alliance of Kuwait recently held its Meet and Greet event at the Jawhart Al Salih School auditorium in Riggai on the 20th of April 2012. It offered a relaxing evening to the Indian dentists working in Kuwait, to get away from the routine of work and to meet old friends as well as make new friends and acquaintances in their profession.
The IDAK council extended a warm welcome to all members and especially its new members and cordially invited them to be active participants of the IDAK. The council introduced and felicitated the coordinators of the various working committees.
To get the evening rolling, there was an interesting and hilarious ‘ice-breaker game’, by the Vice president, Dr. Dolly . Later the General Secretary, Dr. Anil presented the ‘Amended constitution,’ which was passed by a show of hands by the members of IDAK. This was followed by an ‘Orientation lecture’ by Dr. Saquib, who gave advice and tips to new Dentists on how to adapt to local culture and the working environment. A refreshing break from the business of the day came in the form of a video show that brought back pleasant memories which highlighted the achievements of past IDAK councils.
The raffle draws were conducted by Dr. Divya, and Dr. Angela. The cash prizes were claimed by Dr .Prakash Kamath and Dr. Aysha Alex while Alghanim Electronics sponsored a 32” inch LCD TV which as bagged by Dr. Deen Dayal Mittapalli, whereas the High Definition Camcorder was bagged by none other than our past President Dr. Peter D'Souza.
Dr. Binu Mathew did a fine job of compeering the evening. A scrumptious buffet was laid out to bring the evening to a close. Overall the program was deemed a success and the experience wonderful, pleasant and relaxing. IDAK wishes to thank their sponsors Alghanim Electronics and Al Khalid Tyres for the wonderful prizes and mementos. |
