Domestics transfer to work permit till November 30th

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Ahmad Al-Rujaib issued a ministerial decision regulating the process of changing domestic iqamas into work permits in the private sector, taking the interior ministry rules into consideration. A statement said the decision has three conditions, including that the transfer should be for the same employer and that the helper should have had the iqama before May 1. The decision is in effect from June 1 until Nov 30, reported Kuwait Times daily.

Hi everbody...pls help in this matter. my friend having 20 visa before May 1 2012. his sponcer not having any company. is there any possibbilities to change 20 to 18 to any private sector, if ther agree?

sice 12 years i work in kuwaiti house ikama 20 my sponsor readdy to giue me release i want to make my ikama 18 how can i do it ?

Really Good News...but 6 Months time to transfer the visa, But Strongly i dont Recommends peopel to pay huge amount for visa changing.

Hi Mr.John, Your explanations are very clear,, but i appreciate if you could clear my doubt on this. Is it compulsary to complete one year of iqama for the visa20 canditate for changing into shoon(Visa18) with the same sponsor??? or we change it before one year completion of iqama?? For those who need an explaination. Conditions are 1) Sponsor(Kafeel) of Visa 20(Domestic/Khadeem)must be the same as Visa 18 (Shoon/Pvt Sector) 2)Transfer from Visa 20(Domestic/Khadeem)to Visa 18 (Shoon/Pvt Sector)is only allowed for those that have had their Visa 20 Aqama(Residence Permit) stamped BEFORE May-01-2012. 3) Offer /Oppurtunity to transfer from Visa 20(Domestic/Khadeem) TO Visa 18 (Shoon/Pvt Sector)is only allowed/valid for a period of 06 months starting from June-01-2012 to November-30-2012

1. that your khadim akama (20) should be of the same sponsor who will transfer it into sheon (18) 2. you had you iqama before may 1 2012, new people who have come after may 1 are not allowed to transfer. 3 this rule is open from June 1 2012 upto November 2012
