Malayali Media Forum (MMF), the platform of the Keralites working in various media Kuwait organised a gala get-together for their members and their families at Chachoos Hall, Abbasiya on Friday, June 8th. The get -together was attended by members and their families of all Keralites working in various media in Kuwait. Kerala Legislative Assembly member Sri Thomas Chandy MLA inaugurated the function. Mr Thomas Chandy praised the activities and social responsibilities of the Malayali media professionals in Kuwait in his inaugural speech. He also raised his concern about the increasing trend of singing India’s National Anthem in everyone’s own tune and music in many of the recent public function. "Our National Anthem has its own unique music and it should be completed in 52 seconds. I am thinking of filing a case in Supreme Court against those who are singing our National Anthem in modified tones" he said.
MMF Convenor Vinod V Nair presided the function. Girish Ottapalam welcomed the audience. Sathar Kunnil, Malayil Moosa Koya and Apsara Mahmood gave felicitation speeches. Gafoor Moddai proposed the vote of thanks.
A variety of cultural programs and competitions were organised by the members and their families of Media Forum. MM Hassan won first prize in the Media Quiz presented by Reshmi Krishnakumar. Various games were also held for adults and children under the leadership of Arifa Abdul Fattah. Shilpa Sajeev anchored the program. Orchestra was presented by Kishore Menon and his team. Media Personalities including Siddiq Valiyakath, Sam Painumood, Thomas Mathew Kadavil, Anil Keloth, Muhammed Riyas, Sunoj Nambiar and Naufal Moodady gave away the prizes to winners. |
