On 20th June the staff of IES Bhavans and Jack and Jill had the fortune to assess their teaching style and know the various attributes of a good teacher. This was made possible by the Principal T.Premkumar who conducted an in-house workshop on various teaching styles. In his eloquent presentation, he touched upon the qualities of an Authoritarian, Authoritative, Laissez-faire and an indifferent teacher and what would be the result of such a teacher in the minds of the pupil. He explained the various traits of these styles and quoted relevant examples and anecdotes to substantiate his views. At the end of the workshop a questionnaire was given to the participants and were asked to answer and return to know the probable style of the teachers. Teachers were very appreciative of the efforts taken by the Principal and the programme ended with an excellent video on the demands placed on the teachers by the 21st century learners.
