Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai, noted Malayalam story writer and novelist, lived as a common man and expressed their feelings and thoughts through his extra ordinary writing methods and with much simplicity, commented by Prathibha Kuwait, a Malayalam literary organization in Kuwait. Prathibha Kuwait has organized monthly meeting and a literary discussion to commemorate Thakazhi during his centenary celebrations. Thanks to his world famous novels, the movies made out based on them became legends and classics and hence achieved the peak point for cinema literature. Prathibha Kuwait requested Kerala Government to consider suitable memorial and literary award in the name of Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai.
