Indian bit by wild dog lands in ICU

A 32 year old Indian expatriate sustained severe injuries when a wild dog bit him in several areas of his body at one of the chalets in Benaider, reports Arab Times daily.

The daily reported that when the man was walking near the dog, it pounced on him and bit him several times.

The victim is referred to the Intensive care unit as his condition is critical, daily reported.

UNDER WHOSE SPONCERSHIP THE DOG IS,WHO IS THE OWNER OF THE DOG, CATCH HIM FIRST BECAUSE HE IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN THIS STRAY DOG. THIS IS BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN LEFT OPEN IN STREETS AND IT IS THE FAULT OF THE OWNER AND IF THERE IS NO OWNER AND THIS IS THE FAULT OF BALADIYA WHO ARE SUPPOSE TO TAKE CARE OF STRAY DOGS. FILE A CASE AGAINST BALADIYA IF THE OWNERS OF THE DOG ARE NOT AVAILABLE

I have seen and experienced it... Some owners give their pet dogs very very much importance than humans... Dogs are given royal treatment... which even a hard working maid or people working in some companies or kuwaiti houses don't get in this country... 100's of KD are spend behind the pets but if you ask for a charity to help the needy.. they would just move 100 steps backward.. rich food like pedigree, chicken, rice, eggs are cooked at home especially for the dog... I even know a house where the dog is given FILTER water to drink... but a maid who comes to work at Expat homes are given last days cooked food or food which will be thrown off to take her home.. now these kind of behavior certainly states whom should we call dogs and whom should we call humans... Very Sad..

DD is exactly correct. i have my own 3 dogs and they are so well behaved when i take them out for walks. but its the people who bother them and bark at them as if these humans were dogs. my dogs ignore them and keep walking. @ ahmed, instead of killing these dogs why not kill those people who talk of killing animals or harm them in any ways.

I was bitten once in Farwaniya and had to take 7 injections course for 3 months.

Marina Fernandes - I was just walking my way it came from behind and bite me.
Why not kill this type of dogs which can kill or hurt humans?

dogs dont attact people for no reason i got 2 dogs in my house i take them out every day for a walk and i see many people behaving like dogs to my dogs !!!! if you are scared keep your distance and walk away instead of provoking them And yes it is true that Municipality has a horrible way to treat this stray dogs they put poison in gardens and parks to kill them instead of catch them and giving shelter. There are no bad dogs, just bad owners.

Sunny might be off his head to comment like an insane person. Totally agree with Marina but i would say that instead of killing the strays humanely as KS path do, government should bring up a policy of spaying and neutering an animal. This would control the population. Countries like India are doing this. Thanks to Maneka Gandhi - Kudos to her. @ Wilson, SJ And Member - if you feel your area is full of strays then find another suitable home for yourself. Dont talk ill about creatures who cannot fight for itself.

We can't blame the dog here....the blame lies solely on the humans who adopt pets because they are cute but then cannot take care of them and end up abandoning them. What do you think is going to happen to an animal that does not know to fend for itself? The climate, hunger and thrist will drive anyone crazy let alone animals.

Why was the man walking so close to the dog. It says stray dog, so one should be wary. And Sunny what is wrong with housing pets or having pets. Its not a trend. Nor is it a growing trend. It is someone taking responsibility for another life.

The Municipality is taking horrible measures in poisoning these animals and letting them die horrible painful deaths.

If there is any precaution to be taken, there are organizations such as KPATH that will do the work humanely. This dog may have attacked the man because of distrust for humans which could only come if he was mistreated by them.

All animals are shy creatures. I do not think this animal was lying in wait for this guy on purpose.

There are lots of stray dogs around . They could bite anybody especially in Jleeb al Shuwaikh . I hope immedialte action should be taken to remove these stray dogs .

This is really an eye opener to cut down the growing trends for housing pets without proper controls and precautions from the government authorities and the keepers. Really untolerbale, unacceptable, and pathetic situation. Hope the government does all it can to save the patient and his family from this disaster
