Sreenivasan's house recognised as Kerala's first Eco Friendly House

Actor Sreenivasan's new residence at Kandanadu near Tripuithura at Ernakulam has acquired a Platinum Grade from Indian Green Council. This is Kerala's first house getting Eco Friendly Recognition.

Construction cost of Srinivasan's house is 2 crores and is built in 75 cents plot with 6,364 square feet. The mansion has four bedrooms. Electricity consumption is from solar energy and arrangements have been made for rain water havesting. Water recycling plant has also been constructed.

Lawn with horticulture crops is yet another attraction of this eco friendly house. Platinum Grade will be given to those buildings that get points between 60 and 80, which follows the criteria of Indian Green Council. Architect of this house is Mahesh from Thiruvananthapuram.

@Ravi, Have you tried to know how he built his house before making such statements?? He preserved the trees, relocated them, he has tree inside his house also, watch out for Veedu episode end of this month or magazine, You will know. More over he spend money on the Ecofriendly Projects, more than the structure of his house, and he didnt use wood for the interiors... Shame on all of you.. this is the typical Malayali behaviour.. aarum nnannayi kanaan aagraham illya.

mr Ravi said is right...more over who have money can make any type of house and be in news specially celebrities not only house even thier pregnancy..a common man knows how difficult to make a two bedroom house in a 5 cent plot &it will be more eco friendly....

Ask Indian Green Council to check how many trees are cut down to make doors/windows and furnitures. if you have money you can buy solar cells or Rain water harvesting. if he is doing so why he has power line and water line....? Every common man house is more Eco friendly than his, but their stories are not coming in News..
