His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan, nominated Mr. Saji Varghese Palakkunnel, as the representative of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church to the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC).
Mr. Saji Varghese is the Finance Manager-Retail Finance Division of a Private Firm in Kuwait. He is the member of Kuwait St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Maha Edavaka, under the Diocese of Calcutta, and is the son of Mr. P.U. Varghese and Mrs. Chinnamma Varghese, Palakkunnel, Thaikattukara, Alwaye, and residing at Kuwait with his family, and his home parish is Thrikkunnathu Seminary Church, Alwaye.
