Tribute made by NKA-K Members to Commemorate First Death Anniversary of Late Bishop William D'Mello, Emiretus Bishop of Karwar |

The First Death Anniversary of Former Bishop of Karwar William Leonard D’Mello, First Bishop of Karwar, was celebrated by members of North Kanara Association – Kuwait.
A Solemn Eucharistic Celebration was held for the repose of the Soul of late Bishop William D’Mello on July 20th, 2012, in Our Lady of Arabia Church, Ahmadi, Kuwait, which was attended by members of North Kanara Association – Kuwait and as well as by a large number of people.
The celebrants of the mass were Rev. Fr. Anthony Lopez, O.F.M. Cap and Rev. Fr. Noel Vinay Almeida, OFM Cap. Before the mass, Rev. Fr. Noel announced to the audience that this Eucharistic Celebration was to commemorate First Death Anniversary of Late Bishop William D’Mello of Karwar Diocese by the members of North Kanara Association - Kuwait. Rev. Fr. Anthony Lopez, O.F.M. Cap. delivered a homily with deep emotion and highlighted some of the major contributions made by Bishop D’Mello in his religious life. At the end of the Eucharistic Celebration, late Bishop William D’Mello’s First Death Anniversary Souvenirs were distributed to all the attendees of the mass by NKA-K Members.
Thereafter NKA-K Members gathered at the residence of Mr. Anthony Fernandes, Sports Secretary for a fellowship and to bid a prayerful tribute to the late Bishop D’Mello together with Rev. Fr. Anthony Lopez and Rev. Fr. Noel Vinay Almeida. Bishop D’Mello will be remembered for his great qualities in undertaking pastoral assignments, his ability of priestly goodness as a generous, faith filled and constantly caring servant of God. |
