Churches should not be built in Islamic countries, say preachers

A group of Islamic preachers claimed that churches should not be built in Islamic countries particularly in the Arabian Peninsula following the issuance of an approval for constructing a church in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh, Arab Times daily reported citing Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Undersecretary of Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mutlaq Al- Qarawi stressed that the ministry is not responsible for issuing licenses for building churches, and only receives the applications for licenses, which they refer immediately to the Municipality for review.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Nazem Al-Misbah pointed out that the Fatwa and Legislation Department should be questioned for such issues, stressing that based on his knowledge about Islam, it is forbidden to build churches in the Arabian Peninsula.

Adding to the Sheikh Nazem’s comment, Sheikh Mohammad Humoud Al- Najdi said building churches in Kuwait should be prohibited, as Kuwait is a part of the Arabian Peninsula.

Furthermore, Sheikh Sayed A-Rifae Al-Husseini expressed displeasure towards Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and the Municipality for approving the construction of a new church in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh, stressing that it is not permissible as per the Sharia.

He added that giving excuses such as it is a matter of human rights and international norms to build it, is not acceptable, as Islam comes first, and people should respect religion first before serving humanity or anything else.

They do not realise that it was for christians of their same country. who is demanding a church here ? no one. In a foreign country, we do not demand we can only request. Second thing is the way you people talk is as if this is your country. End of the day whether your muslim or christian your " HINDI" relalise that my brothers. If any one has to change its your attituted only. Stop behaving like the custodian of truth and god. Your religon is only a few years old, compared to other great religons like hinduism , buddism, chritianity , etc.. The great prophet Mohammed made Isalm a strict religon because he realised that your nature is of barbarians, therfore such harsh laws were enacted then. You change your midset before crucifying or insulting others. No body is coverting no one here. its all about your mindset. learn from these good kuwaiti muslims about Islam first and then come and preach about your religon. Learn my brother in faith. we all are descendants of Adam and Eve. only thing is that we follow different formulas to maintain the complicated probelm called LIFE!

Many countries depending on Arab countries for oil and they are depending on others for agricultural products, to say an example. I think God created this world like that. No one is self content, He wants us to be interdependent and that needs love and respect. Any soverign nation can take any decision to protect its identity. There is no doubt about it. But because of political & economic ties, many are not using that freedom. With out understanding this need for interdependence, if we criticize others that is our foolishness. If Christian countries are coming to liberate them then they are not doing for free, they have contracts and why Christian countries are begging for oil. Try to understand before commenting. Here all other people only expatriates. So they never ask right against their law. Once Kuwaitis become Christians then they will provide that. So please don't compare as all the countries are same. In France there is a ban for veil. Also in china no any religion given the right to practice their religion openly. People have to obey the law of the land. If it becomes law.

Thirdly, Bible is against idol worship which happens in churches. Hence actually Kuwait is helping so called Christains in their won religion. Please guys read your bible with meaning and understanding and not blindly follow your Pope/fathers etc. If you are true christain, then follow Jesus and not treat Jesus as son of God but one of the mightiest messengers of Almighty God. Come to the truth. Let ALmighty show the true path to these people who blindly follow their religious leaders and not follow what is mentioned in their religious scriptures.

A group of muslims were sheltered by Nijashi, the king of that time when Islam had emerged. When this group of muslims, companions of Aphostle of Allah told Nijashi of the story marium (mary), Mijashi said that the difference between your religion and our is of a line..which he drew in the floor with his stick..and he supports muslims of that time.

The guys who have commented in Islamic names are not fully adhered to Islamic Principles and it is the same case of certain Christian guys well. One should understand that Prophet Muhammed has permitted to christian delegates to perform their religious rituals inside Prophet's Mosques in Medina, and this is an exceptional example to understand the Islamic doctrine.

If other relegion people should pray at their homes in private then even muslims dont need mosques in other countries. If France and other countries ban Hijab these people create a big furore but in Saudi all women are forced to wear Hijab. The ruls is wear hijab or dont live in Saudi. Then why not muslims leave those countries where Hijab is banned. Why they want to build mosques in every nook and corner of the streets. Dont other relegious people have to suffer the sound of calling them for prayers.

Many western countries have banned the scarf in public places and dont give permission for building mosques. Everyone has the right to practise their own religion. Practiseing by building huge mosques and churches is not necessary. One should be a good human being. if he wants to be a good muslim or christian. So one should not fight for builing a churh. The preachers are also forgetting that there are many ARAB Christians so the ARABIAN Peninsula does not necessarily mean ISLAMIC Peninsula. Let not the issues be issues of religion but of the nation. If Kuwait does not want Churches then Kuwait should say so, it is their country and they have a right to decide what they want and don't want. Of course, these same people calling for the "ban" should accept when other countries enforce what is part of their culture!!
