Move to increase national manpower percentage

The Government and Manpower restructuring program has recommended the ministry must amend the system of national manpower support in the private sector and link the transactions of the concerned companies to the percentage of national manpower, Arab Times daily reported citing Al Seyassah Arabic daily.


Ministry will soon present the observation in this regard and forward the final draft for approval later, daily added.

The new percentage for nationals should commence after a six month deadline paving the way for companies to implement this, daily added.

The program has recommended an increase in national manpower at the cooperative societies from 10 to 12 percentages, while restaurants will requires 2 to 4 percentage increase in the percentage of manpower. Banks will raise their national percentage from 60 to 66% and private schools from 5 to 8 percentages, while communication sector will increase the proposition from 56 to 62 percentage and 4 percentages in bakeries, daily added.

Yes Replace a exparitate should be transparent .. I mean carbon copy ....as to what 2/3/4 jobs together expats was doing and mind you same salary 175 to 275....and 12 to 14 hours jobs including on holidays with no overtime please....For example : Forget cleaners,labourers just office desk job all should be equal .. No undercut no additional Govt. allowances should be given I say Replaceing should be fair and square ....will that be ....

@Indian: Why are you passing sarcastic remarks if Kuwait is trying to increase Kuwaiti nationals manpower ? You citing examples of labourers....well..if you think that Kuwaitis cannot clean the streets without expats then I request you to ask all the expat labours to leave this country and then see whether Kuwaitis can manage by thmeselves or not. If you remain in this country and criticize the exploitation then that will not serve the purpose. The best thing is to leave the country which you are criticising and then see whehter the mentality and attitude of that country changes or not. If you are eating "Gulaab Jaamun" everyday then please do not refuse someone by saying that you have diabetes if he offers you a piece of cake. The bottom line is "do not be a hypocrite".
