KIG conducts Iftar conference
Kerala Islamic Group conducted an Iftar Conference for the Keralite Community in Kuwait. The conference was conducted in Yousuf Al Adsany mosque in Kuwait City. Ex-MP Dr. Nasir al Saani’aa inaugurated the conference. Janab Ilyas Moulavi who is on a short visit to Kuwait as guest of the Awqaf Ministry spoke on the topic ‘Quran is Calling’. Returning to the light provided by Quran is the only way to a peaceful life. Living life according to the teachings of the Quran will guarantee success in this world and the hereafter. We should make use of all opportunities to study the Holy Quran and be an exemplary model practicing the Quran.

Faisal Manjeri spoke on the subject ‘The Goal of a True believer’. It is the responsibility of the true believers to live as exemplary role models and also impart the same values in our fellow beings, he said. We become the exemplary community which Quran teaches, when we profess what is good and right and to object to anything that is bad or evil and provide a helping hand to our fellow beings and make ease for them as taught by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Sakkeer Hussain Thuvvoor spoke on the topic ‘Repent and return to God’. All deeds of man, whether good or bad will be brought before God and tried upon, we should live our life with this in our mind and however sinful our lives have been, god is always forgiving and we need to utilize this Ramadan for his forgiveness, he said.

Kuwait Malayalam Forum Chairman Abdul Azeez Al Duaij and Abdulla Haider felicitated the gathering. Kerala Islamic Group President presided over the function which started with a Quran Class by Niyas Islahi. KIG General Secretary Anwar Sayeed welcomed the audience and program convener Khaleelurahman proposed the vote of thanks.
