Power crisis again: half of India without power

Large parts of north India went powerless again on Tuesday as the Northern Grid and sections of the Eastern Grid broke down. The Northern Grid had collapsed Monday, leading to power outages across seven states, including the national capital, and power could be restored only by afternoon.

While the Northern Grid collapsed for the second time in two days, the Eastern transmission lines too failed this afternoon, said officials at the Power Ministry and electricity companies.

Power supply was disrupted in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Assam and Punjab, among other states.

I think joker is real joker, he has forgotten that India where power was gone off was put to work within some hours where as in Kuwait when it goes for 3 hours or more he is not bothered about that. As Mr Shinde informed in usa it takes days to repair the fault whereas in India we repaired in few hours that should be appreiciated but instead people are making fun of it. Very sad to read your comments Mr joker.

What can the government do when there is no expert in India to take care of the current power grids. All expertise and consultants are in GCC. We Indians will support other countries because our country does not pay us good marginal wages. I will say some thing a country like Saudi Arabia investing in solar power energy they are having solar energy farms which will soon start of supplying mega watts of power supply to other counties. We have Rajasthan where we can built a huge solar energy farm but who is going to initiate our government and law makers are very busy in pumping there respective banks accounts and outsiders will take care of the current situation in India. I don't why our leaders fight for freedom when we are still not free. Our law makers are enjoying life. God Bless our India (Bharat).
