Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) hosted a large and traditional Grand Iftar Banquet (Ramadan 2012) which was held on Friday, the 03rd Aug-2012 from 4:30 pm in Kuwait Teachers Society, Dasma, Kuwait. H.E Shri Sathish Chand Mehta (Ambassador, Embassy of India, Kuwait) was the Chief Guest of this grand event along with our Special Guest, Moulana Shamsudeen Qasimi, Chief Imam, Chennai Makkah Masjid and many more high level dignitaries from different communities adorned this program. This Event was sponsored by M/s Lucky Press and M/s TVS Air Sea Cargo & Travel Services, M/s Al-Yasra Food Co. Around 1000 brothers attended the Iftar and graced the function.
The program started at 4:30 p.m with recitation of the Holy Quran and its translation by Br. Mubarak Ali (Religious Secretary, TMCA). Br. Shahul Hameed, Treasuere, TMCA initiated the program and staged the Master of ceremony. Br. TVS Alavudeen (Vice-President, TMCA) welcomed all the participants and special guests.
Our Special Guest, Moulana Shamsudeen Qasimi, Chief Imam, Chennai Makkah Masjid delivered special address highlighting the importance of preserve and maintain unity and solidarity among our Ummah citing historic Bader battle and raising of Islam and its aftermath.
Brother Avoor Basheer (President-TMCA) presided over the program and delivered Excellent Presidential address. He briefed about TMCA’s various activities especially requesting to whole-heartedly support TMCA Education activities towards Literary advancement encouraging to enroll as members of TMCA.
H.E Shri Sathish Chand Mehta (Ambassador, Embassy of India, Kuwait) was the Chief Guest and delivered his Esteemed Oratory felicitating this grand Iftar program appreciating TMCA’s activities to community welfare and he briefly explained various activities done by Embassy of India to the welfare of Indian community as a whole.
Chennai Br. Abdul Rahim, our Education Secretary nicely conducted Momento Presentation Ceremony briefly who called on H.E Shri Sathish Chand Mehta (Ambassador, Embassy of India to Kuwait) to present Memento honouring our Main Sponsors, M/s Lucky Press (Br. Abdul Gani from ACMJ received on behalf) and Br. Rasheed Khan, Son-in-Law of Br. TVS Hyder Ali, Chairman of M/s. TVS Cargo & Travels Co., and our Co-Sponsor, M/s. Al-Yasra Food Co., in the presence of TMCA Executive committee.
On behalf of TMCA, H.E Sheri Satish Chand Mehta (Ambassador, Embassy of India to Kuwait) honoured by presenting memento to Konulampallam Br. Ruknudeen (Joint Secretary of TMCA), Valaiyur Br. Abdul Jaleel Khan (Joint Treasurer of TMCA), Swamimalai Br. Kamal Batcha (Joint Secretary of TMCA) and Chakkarapalli Br. Abdul Rahman (Public Welfare Secretary) for their exceptional services to TMCA in the presence of TMCA EC.
On behalf of TMCA, H.E Shri Sathish Chand Mehta (Ambassador, Embassy of India to Kuwait) presented our visiting Special Guest Moulana Shamsudeen Qasimi, Chief Imam, Chennai Makkah Masjid in appreciation of his excellent Symposium on Islam, Education, Bader Battle & Raising of Islam and Social Unity.
Finally Sholapuram Br. Nisar Ahamed (Media Secretary-TMCA) delivered Vote of thanks. He expressed sincere gratitude for all the participants and the Chief Guests. Iftar Banquet and Dinner was served to everyone and this program was most professional and memorable one, as observed from its attendees. |
