Karnataka Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA ) Kuwait, an affiliate of IMA-Kuwait conducted an Iftar function for Indian expatriates hailing from Karnataka State in Kuwait on Wednesday 8th August 2012 at Rajadhani Palace Banquet in Khaitan.

Program started with the recitation of Holy Qura’n by Qazi Mohammed Owais.

Guest visitor of Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs, Kuwait Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Javed, President - JIH Karnataka addressed the gathering followed by a question and answer session. Mr. Javed in his keynote address elaborated the social, financial and political challenges of Muslims in Karnataka State and enthused the audience to remain concerned and respond to their needs.

KMWA President Mr. Hasan Yusuf in his opening address welcomed the gathering and briefed about KMWA activities. He said that KMWA arranges this kind of "Get-Togethers" from time to time to maintain the gesture of our goodwill and unity among NRI's of Karnataka in Kuwait.

Mr. B.S. Sharafuddin convened the program and introduced the Chief Guest to the audience. Jameel Ahmed, General Secretary of KMWA proposed the vote of thanks.

This get-together provided a friendly atmosphere for the Karnataka State expatriates living in Kuwait, and community members from various parts of Karnataka participated and appreciated the function.
