It was in the year 1857 when India for a first time got together to give a real fight against the British, today well known as the first battle of independence. This happened only because the then existing freedom fighters and kings got together and gave a fight, thus for the first time being united even with all the diverse ways of living. This was just a beginning to the " Unity in Diversity " way of working of India. This was the philosophy which finally won the Independence for India in the year 1947. Today, we often see many discussing about unity in diversity, making it a largely hot topic often discussed upon. We talk about how this philosophy has won our freedom, and how it keeps such a large country gelled together always and so on.
Even though all this hype is being caused, is it now becoming a topic only being discussed and not being put to practice at all!? It is so!
If we see today, there are loads of news reports over Tamil Nadu state and Karnataka state fighting for the river water, Andhra Pradesh wanting to split itself into two states, and many more. All this and more happening is only breaking down the Indian philosophy of Unity in Diversity. As our county is growing older, knowledge should increase, and such thoughts are required to be eradicated. But what is happening is just the opposite.
India today is becoming a 65 year independent grandfather. It is left to us who look at what is happening today, to go out and make a change and get back what we have lost, so that the next generation of India have a country to live in, which has only prosperity, wealth, and humble human beings to talk of...
JAI HIND! Happy independence day!
