Indian expat robbed at knife point.
Posted on 9/24/2012
Two people in sports wear attacked an Indian expatriate in Jleeb AL Shuyoukh and stole his wallet containing 60 KD, civil ID and mobile phone, reported local daily Arab Times.

The Indian filed a case in the area police station and narrated his story. It’s reported that he was going to his apartment when the thieves attacked him and threatened at knife point.

Last week it was reported that an Asian man lost his life in a bid to escape from the robbers, who came to attack him in a car, in Slamiya area.

Guys, Really sorry for the Indian brother who lost his life. Please stay away from whoever demands to see your ID..Keep your ID in separate pocket ( not in wallet with money ) do not get close to the vehicle and in a situation..Please run to a shop or a location nearby which has people in it. Please do not express fear. Show confidence and steadfastness. And if possible ... get identification ( face description , car plate nos . etc ) Rest ..god help us all and united we nail the culprits. Jai Hind

Hi All Indians we r hearing frustrating stories of robbery and murder against Indians. We need to be cautious about these happenings. When we have unity we have strength. divide we fall.People should gather under residence association.School PTA.Churches, under various religious groups, charity groups and should discuss this issues regarding how to break this torturing. Technically and physically we need to be fit to escape from this. better not to fight but to trap them and to escape. In this sophisticated world we should think of using modern weapons, alarm system not to attack to escape.Group wise patrolling etc. we should do it bcoz we cannot expect anything from our fucking bullshit govt or Embassy, those Ma chuthias are telling it's not our job to keep our people safe but they r telling its the job of the police of kuwait. This means our embassy have no consider to their peoples life, they want to learn from other nationalities like usa and uk and many other countries how they protect and help their citizens. I love india, India is gregarious, prosperous, secular & a peaceful nation but it not due to the bastards who are ruling india but due to its great heritage and good people. we have a brave heritage our people is the power so people we need to gather and discuss.Try to bring this issues in Face book and other networks to highlight these humanright violations. Try to bring this issues to world human rights association and to United Nations. Our embassy dont bother lifes but they want our Foreign currency. and if we lead, lead without politics. karls Max Told Religion is the Opium. But in this modern era Politics is not Opium But the poisons venom which splits & kills our people

Dear all, I feel sorry to maximum comment saying Indians are afraid, scare, not coming forward. Friends, it is true we don't do because we don't have support from Indian Embassy and any government of India, if Embassy is strong enough behind each Indian citizen, believe me no one will dare to touch any Indian in his life, so many examples I have seen in Kuwait How western countries they protect their people in Kuwait, one call, embassy will present in next moment but is our unfortunate we are not protected because of many reason, our population or majority of Indians here works as domestic worker or ext. What ever you do do it very carefully because may other nationality people purposely will try to damage our reputation. From Heart. Tiranga

Guys, dont ignore such things; one man has already lost his life. Loosing life is not a small thing, we need to do something in order to protect ourselves. Let someone who has vasta or has authority go to Indian embassy, talk to the concerned person and distribute a circular or put on indians in kuwait a day and a fixed time so that all Indians gather at Indian embassy and try our best to solve this matter; there is nothing impossible in this world; if there is unity and will, we will succeed for sure. Lets do something guys...

the main problem of indians is that we are very scared as individuals and we dont have any unity; we are restricting ourself on regionalism; we are not thinking as a whole that we are all indian; we are thinking as mallu, tamil, andra and so on; we cant unite unless we break this regionalism; if all indian over the world unite, we can rule the world.

The same type of crimes were committed in abbasiya in 2006 and Mr chandy had called the chief of the police to the school to discuss the crimes. I was bit surprised that chief of the police from farwania governorate told in the public meeting that crimes are committed every where and kuwait is no exceptional so dont take law in your hands. But what about the local criminals looting poor maids and etc are they not taking law in their own hands.Well as mr Chandu suggested to fight back which indians cannot due to the reason he will not get justice and he is scared he will thrown out of job or even deported. This is main scare which is keeping indians quiet and they dont retilieate.

Preacautions: 1)Ask people their ID if they are in causal uniform. 2) Dont get afraid from any1 who ask you for your ID. If you are innocent you will not worry. 3) Stand atlest 1 meter away from a person who you dont know and is in casual dress, so that even if he wants to steal or snatch anything you have time to react. 4) Dont get tempted to grab him or hit him, you might be harmed. 5)Always REmber Life is more precious then your wallet , and personal belonging. Belonging can come back or made new but life cannot. 6) Always remember Note down the car plate number, color, and face of the person this will always help you. Dont be afraid. Be brave.

Its a pathetic situation. Mainly Indians are targeted as even at that time a fellow Indian passing through will not intervene to rescue him. It is not in case of other nationalities. Indians are the most scared people here and others are riding on them. I am not asking to fight with each and everybody but atleast fight for your welbeing. Somebody told me a few days back .... they wash their face if others spit on them rather than go and look for justice.

Is Q8 not rich enough country to implement CCTV camers on public places to stop and catch such criminals, if they can deploy traffic cameras and earn millions of Kd from expacts why not invest on their security. Its firstly duty of law enforcement departments to fight against crime and then its our duty.So if you see some one in such situation plz HELP atleast note down car number or use ur mobile to take snap.
Q8 is still a safe place to live as compaired to our countries but lets make it more safe.May Allah keep every one in his safety and away from such situtaions.

NJH NJH NJH NJH You say that abbasiya is a slum? LOL. I guess you stay in salmiya and talking like this. I have some friends in salmiya and have visited the place. Agreed that there is more SPACE there but then now a days all that i hear about salmiya is bad news. This robbery, that murder. And then we do have drains flowing in salmiya also. And about the rent, as pointed out, there is no big difference. They way NJH and some of my friends behave, i feel good now. Not much of problem in abbasiya and all this stealing and killing in salmiya. You "RICH UPPER HI FI BIG SALARY" guys deserve it. Atleast in Abbasiya we are all indians and SOUTH INDIANS and we help each other out. Not like the thoughts of NJH who may need a maid to clean their shit out of their backside cos they think that they are not "slums" and hi-fi people who cannot touch their asses to clean it. Rather than finding a solution to this problem for the Indian people NJH's little "hi-fi" brain cannot think more than his ass+hole and abuse Indians at Abbasiya. Frustrating when people have nothing to do but this. How can they help their own family? i guess NFH does not have one. To hi-fi and upper cast to raise a finger to help his family.

Embassy should also take necessary actions to ensure the safety of Indians in Kuwait. The recent incidents reported from Salmiya, about robbery and attacks, in which one of our fellow Indians was killed by the vegabonds, have put all of us in deep pressure. We have 10000001 associations. We have Overseas Cultural Waste units for each political parties. What is the use? Only show-off! Why cant the Loyals of ruling Congress party put pressure on the Government back in India thru our Union Ministers and MPs to bring this situation into the notice of Kuwait Interior Ministry thru our Embassy? I am sure there will be immediate solution once they have talk with the authorities in the higher level. Remember we had power problems in Jaleeb, before 2-3 years? Honourable Sathish Mehta intervened in the problem and it was solved! So please stop all the pomp and show off start doing necessary things.

Dear Friends, Lets have a walkathon like a fund raiser, firstly for our dearly departed and secondly for some good cause, and further more our motive being passing a message against such crazy characters harassing us indians. Media can do the coverage after the walkathon and every indian can share his view and anger against such characters and us as humans being harmed. Please dont involve the indian embassy as we will only be degrading ourselves and showing we are not united. Rather if the India embassy can be a sponsor it will motivate us and strengthen our belief in the indian embassy. Thats just my thoughts. It could be a peace campaign in memory of our lost brother. God Bless his soul and hope this spirit in each and every one also live on and be strong when the time , the hour is bad for our Indian Brothers or sisters and stand up for them, from 1 may be 100 will come up from their house and teach the culprit a good lesson. I have armed myself, geared my wife for such situation, and kept car tools ready at reach in my car , cause if caught by the cops it cant be shown as a weapon but a tool. So live smart my friends and dont fear, if i see any one in such a situation, I shall 100% stand up and fight, the question is will you??

NJH Pls be noted abbasiya is not a cheap place as you think. The difference between the rents here in abbasiya and salmiya and other areas which you are boasting have no much difference may be difference of Kd 10 to Kd 20. Moreover poeple are not staying there for saving of rent or cheap rent but for conveinience. After all abbasiya is not jungle but a city in Kuwait like salmiya and etc. Now when crimes are being committed by goons in salmia too than why dont you suggest people to leave salmia. So dont blame people those who are staying abbasiya as crimes can be committed anywhere including where you are staying now also.Pls give suggestion how to face this crimes and the injuctice done to indian in this sad situation.

Don't think giving a petition to Indian embassy would be worth since this is not an isolated incident. At least the resident associations can give wide awareness campaigns in this issue, particularly where Indians reside. Extremely sad to hear the death of the poor guy who lost his life in Salmiya. The concern is will this hot discussion resume only since the next incident? Hoping a remedy soon.

This seems similar to the 2 (or more) incidents which happend in Issa al qatami street and one person who under went this was one of my friend . His wallet and a cell phone was taken and they left him with nothing. And the next , recently which happend on thursay eve to my horror was close to my building which left me shocked . I hear more and more incidents like this are happening in salmiyah , which used to be one of the safest place in Kuwait . And they are the same persons with a GMC. Many school going children have the equal chances for this to happen to them . Those guys come in a GMC look out for a person and the first question which he asks is for the civil id . I give a warning to all of you that they pretend like cops. And please even if they are cops in mufti ask them to show their identity first.I kindly request anyone who has some kind of vasta in the ministry to come foreward with this issue and report it.

Only our united (re)action can put an end to this menace. I remember the same situation way back in 2003-2004 happened in Jleeb. The crime was at its peak! Finally all the Indians decided to fight it and the problem came to and end. Truly these 'bachhas' do not have any humanity or social values! Sorry Mr.KK(the guy who is proud of the character of these 'bachhas' for some unknown-perverted reasons and always blames Indians or expats for everything) if u r reading this. If he wants to blame anyone at all - let him blame the Indian Emabassy and Govt in India; not poor Indians.

We should unite.. We should form an action force in all areas where Indians reside. Or we could even think of associating with some security companies to place security guards in all areas. Residents should share the expesnes.

Assign a helpline numbers.

Stick Posters on public places to make people aware.

Spread this news to all Indians in Kuwait. Let people be aware.. Awareness is the firts step towards personal security.

We should say its really unsafe to walk down the lanes in salmiya area. As on Saturday, just opp to Jawad Bakala two boys came in a sports car got down and just hit the girl on her back side and drew away. When you see such crimes happening, how can we send our kids to tutions also. The embassy should be asking for patrolling protection for the area were Indians reside. So just be protected from all these crimes to happen in your life.
