Expats living in Kuwait can now ensure complete care for their dependents and family members living back home in India through attractive discount’s (ranging between 10% to 50%) on health checks, medical expenses and professional services like Home Care and Dial-a-Doctor services.

IIK: Is this product a Mediclaim or a Health Insurance Plan?
Deepak Bhatia: No, it is not a Mediclaim or a Health Insurance Plan. Membership to this plan promises concessional benefits across Indian Health Organization’s (IHO) vast network of over 13,000 medical experts & service providers present in more than 27 cities across India. The services enable members to substantially downsize expenses incurred on a health check, doctor or hospital visits (treatment, consultation charges) dental treatments & consultations as well as diagnostics (lab test requirements).
IIK: Who all can sign up for this card?
DB: Only expat Indians residing in Kuwait can sign up for the card. We need the Civil ID details only for the Primary Card Holder. The rest of the beneficiaries/members proposed may reside in Kuwait or India but the cards can be utilized ONLY in India. There are no other entry barriers in terms of age limit or prior medical checkup.
IIK: How does the family in India benefit from Day 1 if the physical Discount Cards are with the Member in Kuwait?
DB: A member can scan and email the Discount Cards to his family in India so they can avail instant benefits on Medical Bills from Day 1.
IIK: Where can a potential member view the list of hospitals or clinics which accepts this card in India?
DB: There are more than 13,000+ Doctors empaneled with IHO pan India. Details are as follows:

IIK: What is the price of this Health Discount Card?
DB: The Health Card is available for a small price of KD 5/- annually and the primary beneficiary can register three other members being family, relatives or friends within the same package. In case one wishes to add more beneficiaries beyond the package of 4 members, they can do so by payment of an additional KD 1.250 per beneficiary.
IIK: What is the validity of the Discount Card?
DB: Once enrolled, the validity of the Discount Card is for one full year. The beauty of this product is that the entire family can utilize the benefits from day one and multiple times during the entire year. Each member will be issued a separate card.
IIK: What is this Personal Accident Cover?
DB: An added feature of this card is that this comes with a worldwide Accidental Death Cover for the primary beneficiary of up to USD $10,000.
IIK: Where can I buy the Cards in Kuwait?
DB: The Health Cards are issued On-The-Spot at Al Mulla Insurance Brokerage Head Office at Mirqab.
IIK: How do I avail the Discounts in India?
DB: Once enrolled, members need to call a listed TOLL Free Number to fix their appointment. The operator will advise them to the nearest network service provider to avail discounts. The toll free number is stated on the card for easy reference.
