Hyderabad Muslim Welfare Association (HMWA) hosted a large and traditional annual grand Iftar get together which was held on Saturday, the 5th July-2014 in Salmiya Kuwait. Programme was well attended by more than 300 people including ladies. The program started at 5:30 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Quran by Master Mohammed . Ifthekhar Ahmed President HMWA initiated the program and staged the Master of ceremony. Distinct guests Mr. Aslam Imadi Sahab and Mir Rashid Ali prominent personalities from Hyderabad shared the dais and gave small speeches and highlighted the importance of brother hood in Islam and urged to bring a change in ourselves by introspection and by following good deeds as per teaching of Ramadan and hailed the activities carried out by HMWA
Br Kareem Irfran, former FIMA President and Patron HMWA delivered a special address highlighting the importance of preserving and maintaining unity and solidarity among our Ummah citing the challenges faced by the entire community and special attention need to be given to issues related to education. He Urged every one to work for community to bring peace
Famous guest Speaker Janab Taher Madani as usual captured the attention of all the attendees. said Ramadan is the month of Quran and the Quran is a guidance for all mankind and it shows the straight path to one and all whoever seeks its guidance• Allah has revealed the book to bring people from darkness into light and through this Holy book Allah elevates people who follows and disgraces who rejects it•
Brother Ikram Toufeeq a Chartered Accountant by profession who is expert in Islamic Finance was another notable speaker of the day. He presented a slide show on special topic “ Zakat I am eligible or Liable” showed very touching and informative slides for the zakat awareness. He talked about how world can be free of poverty and suffering if Zakat is properly given and systematically utilized for the welfare of humanity. The potential and the advantages of Zakat are very high and can be used to reduce stress and bring peace to the society. Vice president Mubeen Ahmed gave small introduction of speaker Ikram Toufeeq . Treasurer Hafez Zafer thanked all the attendees and briefed about HMWAs Educational activities. Delicious iftar and dinner was served by senior executive member Haji Abdul kareem and Tariq Iqbal team.
