Orthodox Vacation Bible School, the most sought and much awaited event of 2014 by the children of the Indian Orthodox Maha Edavaka, Kuwait, was concluded successfully. A grand cultural program was organized on the occasion by the students for their parents and members of the church at NECK. Master Justin Oommen Varghese S/O Varghese Oommen was awarded the prestigious ‘OVBS STAR-2014’ and Miss Meril Susan Sam D/O Sam Kunjoonju was awarded 1st Runner up. Over 600 students attended this year’s OVBS.

The closing ceremony was presided over by the Maha Edavaka Vicar Rev. Fr. Raju Thomas. Sunday School Headmaster Mr. Kurien Varghese welcomed the guests and the participants. Sunday School Advisor Mr. P.C. George Announced the star winners. Associate Vicar Rev. Fr. Reji C Varghese and Sabha Managing Committee member Mr. Sabu T. George delivered felicitations. OVBS Superintendent, Mr. Mathai Varghese Presented a brief report about this year OVBS. Mr.Sabu Alias (Edavaka Secretary) rendered the vote of thanks.

The meeting was also attended by eminent personalities Mr.Jaison P. Varghese (Sabha Managing Committee Member)., Mr. Saji Mathew (Hon. Parish Trustee).The Function was organized and managed by James Peter (OVBS Deputy Superintendent), Mr. Cizil Chacko (Sunday School Secretary), in coordination with the Managing Committee and Parents Committee. The cultural program coordinators did an exceptional job in organizing the events in a timely manner.
