Thrissur Association of Kuwait (TRASSK) celebrated India’s 68th Independence Day with variety of colourful programs. At the embassy of India, Kuwait, TRASSK children presented a patriotic song as part of the flag hoisting ceremony and a tablo also was staged by TRASSK members. The presentation of patriotic song and the discipline showed by the TRASSK children were well attracted by the Indian Community. Honourable Ambassador Shri Sunil Jain appreciated them for their colourful performance and coordination.

In the evening, TRASSK members celebrated the Independence Day at Rhythm hall Abbassiya. The celebrations were started with a prayer, followed by welcome speech by General Secretary Shri. Biju Korath, TRASSK Vice President Shri Prabish KP delivered Independence Day message and remembered the freedom fighters who sacrificed their life for Mother India to attain freedom. The Vice President also appreciated the children and members who performed at the Indian Embassy and thanked all those who put their best efforts to make the programme a grand success. Vanitha Vedhi Convenor Smt. Shiny Frank, Kalikkalam Convenor Master steve Sebastian,Social Welfare Convenor Shri Suresh Kumar, Arts Convenor Shri. Shiju Paulose, Media Convenor Shri Manikuttan, Sports Convenor Shri Ajayakumar PR and seven Trassk Area Convenors conveyed Independence day wishes to the members and their families.

A short film was screened about the freedom struggle followed by a quiz was conducted for children. Patriotic songs, Fancy Dress and other programs were staged from different areas of Thrissur Association. TRASSK Treasurer Shri Jayasankar conveyed vote of thanks.
