Narendra Modi Thanks Pratyusha for her efforts in Kuwait towards Kashmir relief fund

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday wrote a letter of appreciation to D R Pratyusha, 11th Standard Student of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for her extra ordinary effort of collecting 1001 KD (Around Rs.2.15 lakh) for rehabilitation of the flood-affected people of Jammu and Kashmir. Pratyusha collected the amount by reaching out to Indian families after school hours.

In the letter, Modi said there was no cause greater and nobler than helping others, especially those caught in a moment of great adversity. "I share the sense of pride that your parents, family, friends and the school have in your achievement" Prime Minister wrote in the letter to Pratyusha.

"I am very proud of Pratyusha. It’s really a commendable job done by a girl of her calibre", said HE Sunil Jain, the ambassador of India to Kuwait while speaking to Indiansinkuwait.com.

"I am very excited and happy when I came to know that our Prime Minister has send a thank you letter to me", excited Partuysha told IndiansinKuwait.com "I am feeling more responsible after the letter from respected Narendra Modi", she said.

Pratyusha begin this effort in Kuwait after listening to the Prime Ministers appeal for humanitarian assistance to the flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir, where millions of people have been impacted by the worst floods in over a century. After collecting the money, Pratyusha handed it over to the Indian embassy in Kuwait to be sent to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.

A 11th standard student, Pratyusha was in Bhavans for the past 8 years. "Prathyusha has been our student from the time our school started in Kuwait in 2006 and she has been with us for 8 years now," said Mr Premkumar, Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait. "She has brought us laurels in academics at the CBSE examination and in addition to that brought in laurels in sports by representing the school at the CBSE National meets and excelled in all the local cultural and other extracurricular activities. She is a modest and well-disciplined child having compassion for fellow students and friends. I am sure with the kind of personality that she is, she should find herself in one of the top Ivy League colleges like MIT - Boston, Stanford, or Caltech in next couple of years. The amount she collected for the flood victims is out of her love and compassion for humanity and we are proud of such a student who has all the values that Bhavans stands for," Principal told to IndiansinKuwait.com

D.R. Pratyusha is an IIK Young Reporter and has written many articles in IndiansinKuwait.com as IIK Young Reporter. She is the is the daughter of Duvvuri Venkateshwar and Avasarala Sasikiran Venkateshwar.
