MES-Malabar Gold & Diamonds conducted free Medical Camp

Healthy Lifestyle Can Change Your Life ; Hundreds attend free Medical Camp Conducted by MES-Malabar Gold & Diamonds

Hundreds of less privileged people attended the free medical screening camp organized by Muslim Educational Society (MES) - Malabar Gold & Diamonds in association with Indian Doctor’s Forum (IDF), Indian Dentists’ Alliance, Kuwait Heart Foundation, Kuwait Medical Association and supported by Al-Rahma Committee for Medical Services (Al-Najat Charity Society) on Friday 21st November, 2014 at Pakistan Excel English School Abbasiya. Malabar Gold & Diamonds was the Main Sponsor of the event. The camp was inaugurated by HE Ambassador of India to Kuwait Mr. Sunil Jain.

The theme of this year’s medical camp was “Healthy Lifestyle Can Change Your Life” and a booklet based on the topic was released by HE the Ambassador and the first copy received by Principal of the School, Ms. Zahara Khalida.

Experts from various medical specialties including Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Diabetes, Cardiology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Dermatology and Dental examined the patients. In addition, many patients utilized the services of ECG, Mammography and Scanning.

The dedication and hard work put in by the MES volunteers helped the participants to avail camp facilities easily. Large quantity of medicines Sponsored by Saudi Pharmaceutical Company & Al-Rahma Committee for Medical Services was distributed under the supervision of Medical wing convenor Nasaruddeen and hundreds of patients from different walks of life benefited from this noble event.

MES conducts medical camps every year and this is the 14th camp organized for the community. IDF arranged around 50 doctors, which is the largest contingent till date for such a camp, covering almost all specialties. Around 40 skilled para-medical staff assisted the doctors for the preliminary check-ups.

Blood sugar tests were also arranged for the public in addition to the blood cholesterol test done by Kuwait Heart Foundation.

The brief inaugural ceremony started with recitation of versus from Holy Qura’an by Rayees Saleh Batha. MES Acting General Secretary T.V. Arashad welcomed the audience and Khaleed Adoor, Acting President of MES controlled the overall program. The key note speech done by Dr. Vinod Grover – President IDF. Medical wing convenor Nazaruddeen extended vote of thanks. The felicitation address were given by Mr. Siddeeque Valiyakath – President FIMA, Dr. Ameer Ahamed (former President – IDF) and Dr. Natarajan, Secretary of Indian Dentists’ Alliance Kuwait.

Mohamed. Rafi, Dr. Mustafa Keyi also were present at the dais. Token of appreciation to Afsal Khan, Zonal Head of Malabr Gold & Diamonds was given by HE the Ambassador while Token of appreciation to Mr. Ayyoob Kechery, Director of Grand Hyper Market was given by Mr. Afsal Khan.

Ashraf Ayyoor, Zubair MM, Ibrahim, Saleh Batha, Ashraf PT, Shaheer, O.J. Usman, Advt. Gafoor, Mujeeb, Noufal, Ramees Saleh, Rayees Saleh, Mujeeb, Firoz, Jazeen, Shanu Basheer, Neslin actively coordinated this unique program.
