Nair Service Society (NSS), Kuwait celebrated Mannam Jayanthi for the 14th consecutive year on 16th January 2015 (Friday), at Ramada Hotel, Rigga to commemorate 138th birth anniversary of Bharata Kesari Padmabhushan Mannathu Padmanabhan, the great social reformer and founder of the Nair Service Society.
Shri. T P Sreenivasan IFS, Former Diplomat and currently serving as Director National Museums and Hon. Director of NSS Civil Academe inaugurated the public meeting. The meeting was presided over by Shri. K P Manikantan, Presedent Nair Service Society Kuwait. Shri. Malayil Moosa Koya, Shri. Sunil Menon, Shri. Varghese Puthukulangara, Smt. Nidhy Suneesh delivered the facilitation speeches.
A souvenir was released on the occasion of the Jayanthi celebrations by Shri. Sunil Menon by giving first copy to Shri. Jaya Prasad. In the annual award ceremony, Mannam Jayanti Gold Medals and Mannam Puruskarams for outstanding academic performances for students of Class XII and X were also presented by Shri. T P Sreenivasan
The celebrations went on with cultural extravaganza, commenced with the classical/semi classical/group dances of Kum. Sarayu Mohan, versatile dancer and actress, musical show by Smt. Sithara. Bharat Suraj Venjaranmood & Reji Ramapuram Team presented the comedy stage show. Suraj team member Mr. Vinod, a renowned juggler mesmerized the audience by his performance.
