Maharashtra Mandal Kuwait organized guided factory tour to KDD factory

A guided factory tour to KDD arranged by Maharashtra Mandal Kuwait (MMK) culminated with a lot of enthusiasm, fervor and excitement. It was a fun-filled half-day of expedition for kids coupled with an educational tour, who got a chance to witness behind the scene activities of the making of the various KDD products like flavored milk, tomato paste, ice creams, juices etc.

About 80 kids along with MMK volunteers attended the tour. The tour started with the kids singing “Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara” who were in the Republic day spirit and remembering the march-past they had watched on TV. The participants were picked up from Salmiya and Abu Halifa areas in two separate batches.

The kids reached KDD factory with ever growing enthusiasm. Mrs. Rachana Nilesh explained to the kids behind the scene magic of transformation, automation and vastness regarding machines and various processes. The friendly vibes from the KDD staff was well received by the children and it was a learning experience for youngest of toddlers to the middle school teens. The entire session was made very interactive to keep the children interested in the entire process.

And finally the moment every kid was eagerly awaiting for arrived when kids were served ice creams of different flavors. Each and everyone including the volunteers had their fill indulgently. In addition they were served Chips, Pizzas and Cakes by the MMK volunteer on their way home. The KDD management also distributed KDD caps and goodies to the kids.

The most striking feature of the event was that it was completely managed and coordinated by the Women Executive Committee Member team of MMK viz. M/s. Medha Pingle, Sampada Lele, Geeta Kalliguddi, Deepti Gaitonde and Trupti Paradkar. The Committee wishes to thank all the volunteers viz. M/s. Sarika Patil, Nutan Ahire, Amita Singh, Arti Kshirsagar and Sheetal Pawar, without whom the trip would not have been successful.

MMK committee is extremely thankful to the KDD Management for its warm reception and appreciates KDD staff for providing a very informative tour to the budding children. We eagerly look forward for a continued relationship with the KDD.
