Samsung Galaxy J1 launching on February 11 at Rs 7,190

NEW DELHI: Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy J1 smartphone in India, which it unveiled last month. Priced at Rs 7,190, the phone will be exclusively available on Amazon starting February 11.

The Galaxy J1 features a 4.3-inch WVGA(800x480p) display along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). It is powered by the 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex-A7 processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. An 1850mAh battery ships powers this device.

The smartphone features a 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera.

The camera has selfie features including 'Palm Selfie', that detects the movement of hand so one can easily snap a photo with a simple hand gesture.

It's powered by a 1850mAh battery with a claimed talkative of 10 hours on 3G. In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 will compete with the likes of Asus Zenfone 4, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Android One phones that offer better hardware specifications.
